( Erica )
( Erica )
( reconnecting, finally )
( making friends and enemies )
( blame yukiko for studying the golden castle and incorporating even more wacky architecture )
Main Points:
Redundant? Possibly. But in difficult families conversations like this can be spread out like this, and reaffirming ‘we love each other’ is a big deal.
( building bridges )
Main Points:
Persona 2/Persona 4 crossover (Broken Hero)
Chapter Summary: At least Tatsuya's conversation with Eikichi and Miyabi goes smoothly.
Word Count: 695
Rating: Teen
Pairing: Eikichi/Miyabi
( as the ice melts, just a little )
Tatsuya had thought himself ready for Maya-nee’s arrival. As expected, she doesn’t ask any questions or bring any personal grudges to bear. Just like everyone else, she appears to have been crying a little, makeup hastily reapplied (and it seems she’s still relying on her former roommate to help her out there, because there are mistakes even an amateur like Tatsuya can spot). She is, however, beaming through the tears, and whether she’s actually happy his hand has been forced and he can no longer hide behind excuses or she’s putting on a brave smile, trying to get through this with positive thinking, is entirely unclear, but extremely admirable either way.
He was not ready for her to simply hug him like a big sister would, and all of a sudden he finds himself crying uncontrollably on her shoulder as she gently lets him and his big brother watches helplessly.
( a whirlwind as ever )
I actually love Philemon but I don’t think Tatsuya has or ever will forgive the bet.
( hard conversations and a chance to heal after all these years )
( seeing other people's Shadows is still uncomfortable even if they're getting used to it )
( witnessing fault to every pawn in the game )
( memories in cold decay )
??? Okay, anyone wanna explain to me why the Joker used a flower symbol of a yellow iris? The hanakotoba I’m getting from multiple sites are ‘loyalty, good news’, and occasionally some other positive things? The closest thing is maybe knowledge, like, seek enlightenment and after you find it I’ll take my revenge, or mayyybe at a stretch ‘finally my day of revenge has come, this is good news for me’, but, like??? From its place in the story I always kind of assumed it was a similar meaning to the orange lily.
( i played soldier; you played king )
( conversations with the dead )
( there's complexity there you hadn't considered )
Teddie is Teddie Anderson because Japan overuses the surname Anderson and I think it’s funny
“I’m so un-bearlievably glad you’re okay!” Yosuke blinks, watching Anderson-kun from America...cry into his hamburger. He’s not sure he’ll ever understand his American cousin for reasons including but not limited to the fact that the rest of the blond’s Japanese is atrocious but he’s apparently figured out how to make a ton of puns that actually almost work in Japanese about bears. For some reason.
“Uh. And how did you end up working at Dojima Law?” he asks, because he’s feeling a little awkward, having all that attention fixed on him.
The chest puffs out in pride and victory. “Don’t underestimate this little bear! I clawed my way in! The next time you need me, I won’t be useless, fur sure!”
Yosuke blinks again and then decides he’s better off not asking for further details. It’s really sweet but also...seriously, did the guy move all the way around the world and change his job just to make sure he was okay? It’s...weird, confronted once again by the fact that yeah, people actually care about him, and he’s not sure what to do with that.
It’s nice having...well, family that cares, even if the guy is a little over the top.
“I just wanted to give you a head’s up. So I was running my mouth and not thinking…”
“And that’s different from normal how?”
“I told Souji we both didn’t like our bodies.”
“…You owe me steak.”
“Fair, but it’ll have to be later this week, after I get paid.”
