I forgot what pyramid this was set at. It’s Ixtepete, since it’s a tourist location but not one that gets a lot of action, since it doesn’t look like too much at the moment, and the caveat that there’s probably not secretly most of the pyramid buried unlike another Mexican tourist spot.
I get having the next posts being “Stands So Far” might leave you on a little bit of a cliffhanger, but trust me, it’s better than leaving it until the end of the volume.
A sports-themed section wouldn’t be complete without this song.
I could never have predicted, starting out writing this series, that one day I’d be writing a Mayan football segment. Of course, I think there was a brief baseball segment in Stone Ocean? Still unexpected. That’s Jojo’s for you.
But seriously. Go watch Shaolin Soccer. It is a masterpiece and better than anything I could hope to write for this arc.
Honestly this probably works like Zoom Punch, where Robin actually is getting burned; he’s just healing it back and apparently neither Jacawitz nor Darling noticed. Admittedly, visibility is not high around this fire.
Did not think I’d be writing about lack of ADA accommodations by Mayan deities, but apparently that’s a thing that’s happening.
