Chapter Summary: Tatsuya finds himself as unprepared to deal with Lisa as ever.
Word Count: 530

Pairing: background Lisa/OC, past and future Jun/Tatsuya even if Tatsuya doesn't think he deserves it

The nurse has frozen in alarm and might be starting to reach for the panic button. He should probably inform her before this becomes an even bigger headache. “It’s okay; I deserved that.”
The husband—Sanjo Haruhiro, was it?—follows at a more leisurely pace. He doesn’t look jealous, which is good. Honestly, Tatsuya should have made the effort to pay more attention to things like his job and if he made her happy, even if he ended up not being able to attend the wedding. He doesn’t attempt to speak, though, probably aware that Lisa is far from done.
Yes, she’s crying, because she’s wiping away the tears. “There you go again! Just these little remarks, that you deserved this or deserved that, and I didn’t even think to put it together and I feel like such a moron! ...Didn’t you ever consider that maybe you deserved to be happy?”
When he thought his happiness would come at the cost of the world, of the happiness of all he cared about, it hadn’t even crossed his mind, no. He elects to stay silent.
Lisa pokes him, and he winces. She’s still as strong as ever. “You had better ask Jun out.” That...is probably a threat. It sounds like one, and if it was coming from anyone else he’d consider it mock-playful, but as it is, it’s Silverman—no, Sanjo Lisa. It’s actually a threat.
He shifts uncomfortably. He’d never had the courage to ask outright, whether Jun had dated anyone since. Because he’d hope it to be true, honestly. Jun deserves to be happy. He deserves a man who can be there for him and make him feel loved and appreciated. But at the same time, knowing for sure isn’t something he probably could have handled. And yet, if he’d learned that Jun had never moved on, that he’d hurt Jun so badly...he didn’t want to know that, either. “...If he forgives me, he’ll do it himself.”
She steps back, staring holes in him. He’s not sure what she sees, but she stands, more determined and intense than he’s seen in years. “I’ll hold you to that. Don’t break his heart again. Come on, Haru-kun.” She doesn’t even wait as she storms out, and he’d worry about what she’s planning, but it’s not like anything he can say or do will dissuade her, so it’s better to just go along with it.
Sanjo-san shrugs, smiling slightly—it looks like he really is in love, good for Lisa—and bows slightly. “It’s good to meet you after so long, and sorry it couldn’t have been earlier, Suou-san,” he states and then hurries to follow.
Even for him, this is a lot of sleep, but then, between his Shadow and Othkkartho, perhaps it isn’t so surprising after all. The nurse looks intrigued, but he’s not in the mood to entertain any further, so before long he’s out.

As he should have expected, really, Lisa bursts into his hospital room. She’s as intense as ever. She, alarmingly, might also be crying. “You reckless, self-sacrificing jerk!” The slap...hurts, but if anyone was going to actually respond in such a way, it was her.
