there’s actually a very good reason jotaro’s favorite food is listed as his mother’s cooking, and that’s because she doesn’t just cook japanese or whatever. She’ll regularly do the Italian thing and make pastries and orange juice for breakfast, and sometimes Italian for dinner. But sometimes it’ll be miso soup instead. She’ll make some particularly American sandwiches one day and okonomiyaki the next. In general she likes to try to be particularly Japanese, even when (especially when) the other housewives talk about her, but when it comes to food she cooks pretty much everything. Jotaro has no conception of how unusual this might be. Joseph complains loudly about how easy Jotaro takes to eating ‘strange foods’ one day during their journey (after bragging about being ‘worldly’ the day before). Jotaro ignores him.

Watching Yakuza playthroughs + the realization that there’s a resemblance between Tony and Goro in some pictures + the Dresden Files short story Even Hand (POV John Marcone).
Headcanon 1: this Tony is actually trans.  It’s part of why he feels like he has to be so much in control.  Surgery was the first thing he went for after the deaths of his parents, only he made it out like he was grieving so much he couldn’t be seen in public and was blindingly drunk most of the time.  That last part might actually have been true.  He’d pretty much blackmailed Howard into letting him bind and saying he had a son, unless he wanted some nasty rumors about the abuse to float around.  He was five.  He’d also been kidnapped for his first time a few months before that point.  Before that, Howard “went along with” the “crossdressing” thing because of Maria, but was planning to put a stop to it.
Headcanon 2: he was also nursing a headache through this whole fic.  He doesn’t put in the artificial eye when he’s in pain, because the extra signals can make it worse just like really old/really new glasses.  It’s also why he’s drinking.  Usually, he keeps a tight control on his alcohol intake, because the last thing he wants to be is his old man, but it does help dull the pain of the missing eye in a way that other medications haven’t been able to do (at least, he hasn’t found the right one through experimentation).
Headcanon 3: Pepper's a lot better of an agent than you see here.  She was working off bad intel, and didn't expect her employer to stab her in the back.  Then again, Stark just makes her nervous for very good reasons.  If he hadn't put her on the defensive almost immediately, the conversation would probably have gone very differently.
Headcanon 4: He's also not a sociopath.  He's just ruthlessly practical and has found that business tends to go better if he pretends he is.
None of these headcanons make sense to actually appear in the fic itself, but they’re important.
(I'm also kind of surprised more Mob AUs with Tony being the mob boss don't exist.  On Ao3, anyway.)

headcanon: giorno has low body fat & probably gets cold easily

Headcanons: Yosuke has the guitar and an impressive game collection, but mostly those are for show anymore.  It’s been ages since he’s tried to play.  Since he got ‘kicked to the boonies’. 
The guitar was kind of more for himself, especially since only Katsuragi really got it, while the games were the social thing.  His circle of ‘friends’ played quite a few (and, well, never returned some of the ones they ‘borrowed’, but he considered it a worthwhile price for ‘friendship’, just so he wasn’t quite so lonely).  He’s been a little depressive since he came out to Inaba, though he hides it well behind the smile.  The frustration
of keeping that smile on no matter what started building up until it lashed out.  He really does like it, being nice to people, helping them out.  That’s not a lie.  But doing it so much and never getting a thank-you (in fact, getting spat on in return) gets a little frustrating after a while.  And he had nothing really to distract him, besides hitting on Yukiko (and failing) and Saki (and failing) and forming a friendship with Chie (and partially succeeding, but it’s more abusive to start with than anything).
Playing those games, even doing more than glance at them, reminds him of the big city, of the ‘friendships’ he lost.  (If you have to be alone, you can do it in a crowd of people just as well as anywhere else-he's like Cordy in that regard.)  He even lost his temper and broke one of his favorites one day, only to immediately feel awful about it.  He has yet to buy a new copy.  Too painful.  Honestly Souji might be the one that buys him a new one.
He looks back on that as he’s starting to get more comfortable with himself and thinks that’s utterly pathetic.  He really could’ve asked for more, but he was scared to do so then.
He starts breaking those out with Souji.  It’s a sign he really’s started accepting Kanji when he invites the other to come play some of his games.  Chie’s generally terrible, but play a fighting game and she somehow manages to be good.It’s not quite just button mashing, which makes him confused and Chie yells at him and they yell at each other.
He hasn’t asked Yukiko yet, though.  He’s afraid she’ll take it as yet another date offer (which, to be honest, it’s not entirely a ‘girly’ thing but he’d actually like that as a date) and turn him down again.(She might end up playing if they ever do another massive sleepover in the Inn, though.)

reboot!kirk could've been better served by writing him kinda like Dean Winchester, who's constantly pretending:
*He's not a huge nerd (I love the episode where they're on set and Dean's trying not to show off how much he knows about Hollywood)
*He doesn't respect his partners or care a whole lot about consent (spoiler alert: it's wrong)
*he just wants sex, isn't a huge romantic, and doesn't want a long-term relationship (mostly because he thinks it's impossible in current situation)
all the while not hiding at all
*his giant love for his Enterprise (aka Baby)

I am convinced Kirk likes flowers because they remind him he's not on Tarsus but rather things can be green and grow and not die off.  This could be so much more angsty but like a lot of things he does it's hope instead, like he's always looking for the best in things
