I was thinking about why I like Devil May Cry (and my own writing on Giles’ Detective Agency) and why I don’t think that the story is “terrible” like a lot of people. Unlike my other lit analysis posts this one is mostly about DMC, mostly because I started writing and apparently had a lot to say and this is long enough as it is. This does tie in slightly to why I’m also more positive on DMC 2 (at least story wise, and you can’t argue that the outfit and music weren’t stylish) and the anime (which got me into the story). Again, I haven’t experienced DMC 5 yet; it’s one of the ones I want to actually experience myself, rather than watching someone else play, and admittedly half of my issue is that I want to wait until I’m living somewhere one of my roommates isn’t going to break a newly bought PS4 in a fit of rage or because they’re mad I haven’t cleaned the microwave or whatever. I look forward to seeing how it fits in with this mini-essay. It’s also why I don’t like the Ninja Theory one and why writing crossovers with lgbtq+ themes feels very natural to me. We will also be getting into story spoilers here, so warning for that.

Polnareff.  Funny enough that I paused long enough to screenshot, then added some text.  No spoilers, just...Polnareff.
New Shadowed Suspicions chapter coming soon.  I'm in a Jojo's mood, but that's helped by SC Part II /grins  Igggyyy.

On a related note, why does no one do anime/live action crossovers?  (Well...hardly anybody.)  I love both and there are often these awesome connections, but you can't find them anywhere.  My upcoming project (*cringes from ~lonelysouls*) might be something along those lines.  Other than that my lips are sealed and you can't get anything from me.  Other than vague hinting.  Because I think I've already hyped my mentor up enough already.
On that note, I need more icons.  I might actually have to delete some.  Oh yeah, and on that note, I have to go icon-hunting through the Persona DVDs.
See ya'll soon!

>You got to play Persona 4 for another four hours today.
>You emerge satisfied, if with a slightly bittersweet feeling, since you don't know when/if your next chance to play Persona will come.
Sadly, no screencaps today.  (Well, technically camera pics...)
I need Persona icons.
Okay, for the specifics.  Got just past the castle dungeon.  Easy mode really is too easy, even for someone like me, who spends quite a bit more time watching people playing video games than playing video games themselves.  No party members died.  No wipes.  Even when I forgot a Persona with Zio, which about half the Shadows were vulnerable to.  (I accidentally went into the boss fight and was expecting to wipe, but even with Burn to Ashes I didn't.)  I actually ended up going back in and grinding.  Though I'm pretty sure I don't actually need to grind-level 17, and given how easy the boss and her knight were when I was a lot lower level, probably not needed at all.
Yosuke was trying really hard to impress me, which was amusing.  And cute.  I'd ask him what he was doing when he'd go to attack and fall over, and the next few fights he'd just be critting left and right.  And I'd talk to him, and he'd tell me to take it easy and look all worried.
The main Personas that I ended up using were Orobas, because he had fire, wind, and physical, and Sylph, who had Media, ice, and buffs/debuffs.  Just before saving and quitting, I fused Jack Frost, with ice, lightning, and healing.  Pretty sure he'd end up becoming a favorite from there.  (I was highly confused about the registration in the compendium-I think it was doing it automatically unless I'd leveled the persona up-and figuring out which Personas to have on me, other than the ones for social linking).
Lots of fun, but it's a pity that I was just borrowing a game and console from a friend and am a poor student at uni and have no money.  I probably should be working on coursework or something, but I think I'll end up writing some Personatown instead.

>You played Persona 4 for the first time yesterday.
>Well, that's a few hours ago now, but by this point that's yesterday.
>Point being, that you played Persona 4 first on the day the story starts,
April 11.

>Also, yes, Yosuke, it is totally like that.

Finally accepted by Cas as a member of the Trenchcoat Angel Brigade.  (Though our acronym, TAB, may prove to be problematical.)
I still don't fully understand humans-don't think enough, just react off instinct or emotion.  Humans have the ability to think for themselves, rather than having others determine their own lives, so why don't they exercise that ability more often?  (Sam says that "you don't know what you've got until it's gone", which is an interesting piece of human advice that means little to me.  I'm not sure it applies when you never had it in the first place.  Maybe it's something along the lines of "only those that don't have something can truly appreciate its value", which makes a little more sense.  Dean adds that you're not supposed to understand emotion; it just sort of happens.  While this makes more sense, it's also annoying.  I'd prefer to understand, I think.  I can tell when someone's feeling something, but not always why they are feeling that particular emotion, especially if I'm involved.)
I also must question why anyone would watch the Pizza Man when they could be watching something with lots of explosions and/or cheesy monster special effects.  (Dean threw up his hands and made entertaining faces when I asked.  He never answered my question, however.  He also informed Cas that he is not allowed to order pizza again.)
