madimpossibledreamer: Jiraiya|Yosuke jumping and using a throwing star (jiraiya|yosuke)
So are friends who will let you play your vidja games.  (I actually got 9 hours of sleep last night so I got a lot more than everyone else, but I'm still a little out of it.  And not looking forward to the grind for Monday.  That's school for you though.)
>You played Raidou Kuzunoha vs King Abaddon for about five hours (?) today.
>One of the first things you did was name your main character Johei Kujo.  You felt really proud of yourself for that one, since you read somewhere Johei is his canon real name, but there's no canon last name, so there you have it.  Awesome reference to another character who never removes his hat.
No camera pics, sadly (I forgot to grab it).  I apparently can't normal controller, and therefore couldn't properly dodge (or block).  I'll never be an expert.  (I died so many times trying to get through the freaking tutorial because I can't dodge.  Except when I do it on accident.  It's so much easier in Secret World, but that's because I'm used to using a computer, not a controller.  There's too much for me to keep track of.  I can't all the buttons.)  And both Tam Lin and Alraune died on my last try.  But I did finally make it through, and I might've gone through a lot of medicines but I was making real progress.
I love Narumi, the dork.  And I like the investigation meetings, even though I didn't really need them because I was following the plot, but it kind of showed that he's not just the lazy guy who makes you do all the legwork, he is a legit detective with brains.
Sadly I couldn't hear much of the music because of the tournaments.  Ah well.
I got Tam Lin back shortly before the event ended, which was sad, but not much you can really do about that.  Focused a lot on sword (and kind of spammed triangle).  Also wasn't much good at giving demons commands during battle (especially since I was out of mag 80% of the time).  I ended up spending a lot of time maxing loyalty (since I forgot to have the Pagan-order demon for the story event, and remembered I'd have to have a Skill-order demon too, so just ended up maxing and fusing for a while, which mainly involved running in circles next to the Dragon Cave for somewhere between 1/2 an hour to an hour).
Pixies tended to be ridiculously nice to me (or, on a few occasions, slapping me in the face).  So I ended up using Pixie a lot.  Johei was respectful of Koropokkur, but really latched on to Tam Lin for some reason.  Maybe the fact that they're both respectful and kind of calm warriors (at least as portrayed by SMT).
He chased Tatsumi into the Shadow Realm, but then ran back to the Detective Agency because I kind of forgot to pick up the Case Files after the owner of the Soda Joint mentioned he was going to send them along.  And that's where I left off.
Fun times.

A Kakyoin comes bearing plotbunnies.

>Do not trust the Kakyoin.
>Trust the Kakyoin.

Seriously, I have a calc test tomorrow.  The derivatives stuff is easy.  Integrals, even though they're the inverse and shouldn't really be that much harder, just are.
Also, it'd be nice if I could get further into Personatown before basically creating a parallel world only with JJBA and Stands.
"They're called Stands because they are the heroes who Stand by you in your time of need!"  ...Okay, thanks, Joseph, don't encourage him.
I guess I really just like AUs.  Not that that's surprising.  And superhero AUs.  That's not really a surprise either.
I'm going to guess my stress levels are huge, even though I don't feel that badly off, because I'm pretty sure no one's supposed to get that many diseases at once.  Or have a migraine that bad shortly after.  My muscles are as tight as in freshman year, and I don't even know what I did to them.  Like I said, I don't feel that stressed?  But obviously I am.  /sighs
Ah well, weekend coming.  And new Jojo's episode.  And maybe I'll actually get to catch up on Constantine soon.
Oh, and for worlds where Jotaro/Kakyoin or the other way around (I don't understand the ordering thing) is a thing:  ET by Katy Perry works pretty well.  Just saying.

madimpossibledreamer: Izanagi|Souji in full costume holding out a hand (izanagi|souji)
The way Yosuke sees Kanji continues to be complicated, because when he tells Kanji he'd be a great addition to the team, his voice is completely sincere.
When the fellow students started gossiping about Kanji, I just went and said "Kanji, you're up."
"I hate to be the one to say it...but if they stop we'll never catch them."
Then Kanji's talking to Yukiko about something, and "...Kanji, stop, she hasn't told Yukiko yet."
Dojima is the only one that makes me entirely unguilty about saying no or changing my mind when I am trying to decide whether to do his social link.  He's just amused and "think about getting to sleep early sometimes".
Souji's not comfortable with the hazing ritual, but then he's not comfortable with everything that happens, even ones without choices to express the fact that he's uncomfortable.  Which is when he tends to play dense.  (For the picking up girls with motorbikes plan, Souji would rather have gone to a cat house instead.)
Mission: Hug Yosuke.
When Dojima's not being absentee, he's actually a really good dad.
My Souji likes to go talk to everyone, especially the Shy Student outside the library (and nearly panicked when she wasn't out there one day) and whenever they get new outfits has to put all of them on and talk to everyone and see their reactions to the outfits.  He puts everyone in the clothes they're most comfortable with, but for him he'll wear whatever Yosuke's most positive about.  Yosuke's in his summer outfit, because Yosuke's comfortable with it and he likes that outfit.  Yukiko's in the summer outfit with the joke classes, but he's not wearing those even though he thinks they're funny because Yosuke can't even look at him.  Kanji's in the track outfit and keeps going on about trampolines for some reason.  Teddie, who's the switchout, is in the suit thing.  They're the A Team.  He'll switch out for the B Team because he doesn't want to leave anyone behind.
I love how Kanji's dodge is just "Lame" like "you were a loser for even trying that, Shadow."
Souji's not perfect at magic tricks.
...And this is the guy who eats grass.  I'm surprised Dojima didn't go "What's wrong with you?  Why are you eating wasabi?"  He was right there.
"All right, I will rephrase.  I came to buy tofu.  He came to gawk."
Also, Souji has a sudden jealousy of Rise and it's weird.
madimpossibledreamer: Jiraiya|Yosuke jumping and using a throwing star (jiraiya|yosuke)
>You got much further in playing than in writing about your playthrough.  Your embarrassment has increased!
(Some of these things might be in Souji-first person, since I'm playing in first person.)

Souji found Daidara's assistant in the Practice Building.  And he geeks out about the weapons he can trade for and everyone else, especially Yosuke and Chie, is just staring at him like 'why are you so excited about using a cleaning mop in battle, isn't that not very effective' even though they have the same stats.  It's pretty much the face that everyone makes as Yukiko and Souji enjoy the gag glasses.
When the teachers call on the others, Souji surreptitiously looks it up on his phone, rather than let his friends down.  When it's just him, he doesn't care if he gets it wrong.
The Girl in Glasses poses every time I come to talk to her.  Her Jojo's game is strong.
Teddie kept getting excited and giggling when the Happiness Hands kept escaping.  Luckily, Yosuke hit him for me later.
Also, Nanako was being adorable, which could cheer anybody up.
Souji has a book on gags.  (I would assume it might be where he learned a bit of the magic tricks.)
The Shiroku Store Owner told me "Did you want to sell items?  I'm sorry, but we don't do that here.  Try Daidara's down the road."  I'm pretty sure she's a telepath, now, because that's exactly what I was thinking when I walked in to the place (thought I could sell some of the non-material things that I probably wouldn't use).
Someone, I don't remember now, Yosuke maybe?, asked whether it was bad to be worried about Nanako-chan, and I replied that it was never bad to be worried about Nanako-chan.
Yukiko likes ghost stories.  Chie definitely doesn't.
"I dunno, what if something happens and we're the only ones there?" ...You'll also be less suspicious, you know...
YUKIKO DON'T BE INTIMIDATED I'M AN AWKWARD DORKY KITTY I SWEAR REALLY IT'S FINE TO TALK TO ME
>"This is the announcement room.  You don't have anything to announce."  And the environment continues to think I'm a moron.
Daisuke and Souji, on the soccer team, are the ones that didn't have hearts (i.e. weren't interested) in Ai.
Souji's broke, but he hangs out with Nanako instead of working.
Yukiko's a table tennis fiend.
Relating to that one fanfic where everyone's burning up in the sauna-we really are wearing our winter clothes.
Yosuke offered to use his special move.  The Wealth Hand had already gotten away once.  So then he critted and killed that and the add.  I was really happy with him.  (Yosuke tends to either do really well or really poorly.  He'll either be critting left and right or falling on his butt a lot.)
He'll eat grass, but a lonely ham disturbs him?
Ms. Sofue is the sister of the samurai teacher from Persona 3.
To shy student: "You are adorable...and on that note let's go save Kanji."
I wasn't actually aware this was possible.  I was walking down the hallway, and ran into the class rep, who was walking in the other direction and even running as fast as I possibly could, he kept pushing me back up the hallway.  So I guess he's pushy.
I'm honestly wondering if "You're a big guy, you can take it" is Yosuke's philosophy on Kanji.  He's curious, he's a little homophobic, and he thinks Kanji's stronger than any words he can throw at him.
I'm still probably going to slap him for some of his behavior later.

Since this is getting huge, I'll probably save more of notes I've taken for later.  (I'm nearly to the end of summer vacation in both RL and in-game, yikes)

Man, I did a lot more than I expected before getting on again, huh?

>Your Souji also didn't want to take the cold medicine on an empty stomach, so he kept checking the refrigerator, even though there was no change in edible (or non-edible) food in there since the last time he checked.
>Watch the Midnight Channel is an option...but it tells you, matter of factly, that that's only an option on rainy nights.  As if you didn't already know.  Idiot.
"Yosuke, my TV thinks I'm an idiot.  ...Also, Nanako seems to be worried about the fact that I keep running into the wall."  (which is true, sadly, it's hard to get to the stairs/door out)

...Oh, apparently I've got more social linking to do, so I'll be back later. *waves*

On a related note, why does no one do anime/live action crossovers?  (Well...hardly anybody.)  I love both and there are often these awesome connections, but you can't find them anywhere.  My upcoming project (*cringes from ~lonelysouls*) might be something along those lines.  Other than that my lips are sealed and you can't get anything from me.  Other than vague hinting.  Because I think I've already hyped my mentor up enough already.
On that note, I need more icons.  I might actually have to delete some.  Oh yeah, and on that note, I have to go icon-hunting through the Persona DVDs.
See ya'll soon!

>You got to play Persona 4 for another four hours today.
>You emerge satisfied, if with a slightly bittersweet feeling, since you don't know when/if your next chance to play Persona will come.
Sadly, no screencaps today.  (Well, technically camera pics...)
I need Persona icons.
Okay, for the specifics.  Got just past the castle dungeon.  Easy mode really is too easy, even for someone like me, who spends quite a bit more time watching people playing video games than playing video games themselves.  No party members died.  No wipes.  Even when I forgot a Persona with Zio, which about half the Shadows were vulnerable to.  (I accidentally went into the boss fight and was expecting to wipe, but even with Burn to Ashes I didn't.)  I actually ended up going back in and grinding.  Though I'm pretty sure I don't actually need to grind-level 17, and given how easy the boss and her knight were when I was a lot lower level, probably not needed at all.
Yosuke was trying really hard to impress me, which was amusing.  And cute.  I'd ask him what he was doing when he'd go to attack and fall over, and the next few fights he'd just be critting left and right.  And I'd talk to him, and he'd tell me to take it easy and look all worried.
The main Personas that I ended up using were Orobas, because he had fire, wind, and physical, and Sylph, who had Media, ice, and buffs/debuffs.  Just before saving and quitting, I fused Jack Frost, with ice, lightning, and healing.  Pretty sure he'd end up becoming a favorite from there.  (I was highly confused about the registration in the compendium-I think it was doing it automatically unless I'd leveled the persona up-and figuring out which Personas to have on me, other than the ones for social linking).
Lots of fun, but it's a pity that I was just borrowing a game and console from a friend and am a poor student at uni and have no money.  I probably should be working on coursework or something, but I think I'll end up writing some Personatown instead.
