I will say, I'm not as fond of this username anymore, but I also don't think I can afford a name-change token.  It's a) I feel weird about the use of 'mad' here as it's ableist and b) I'm pretty sure it's a Doctor Who (Eleven? Moffat?) reference and I'm not as into that anymore (singlehandedly from the Moff; I haven't even caught up on Thirteen and I loved her regeneration episode).  But also I have built up, well, a little name recognition, though I'm not sure how much, and don't want to mess with that either.  I suppose that's just a usual fate of online username choices.  (I don't know if I've mentioned it in the series, but the name Slayer's Mad Whelp is specifically chosen as a reference to Mad Dog Majima.)
Friendly reminder when I use discriminatory language in a story or otherwise flag it for me.  I'm working on it but it's a pretty established part of my vocabulary so I don't even notice every time.

also while trying to find info about username changes I stumbled across Dreamwidth fighting against California having a terrible bill for once (I thought Florida was the one mainly working on that) specifically trying to force invasive info collecting 'to protect the children'.  It sounds good, but every application I've ever heard of when it comes to laws and measures 'to protect the children' always have acted to stop minorities from talking about their lives.  Thanks for acting to protect your users, Dreamwidth.

On a related note, why does no one do anime/live action crossovers?  (Well...hardly anybody.)  I love both and there are often these awesome connections, but you can't find them anywhere.  My upcoming project (*cringes from ~lonelysouls*) might be something along those lines.  Other than that my lips are sealed and you can't get anything from me.  Other than vague hinting.  Because I think I've already hyped my mentor up enough already.
On that note, I need more icons.  I might actually have to delete some.  Oh yeah, and on that note, I have to go icon-hunting through the Persona DVDs.
