The idea here for the title is that Yosuke in this universe is a law nerd and has done a decent number of civil cases—so he’d know debt terms. The debt remains the same; i.e. he doesn’t think he’s paid it off or that the terms of the contract should change and no amount of ‘you’re not at fault’ judgments from others will make him believe it. I also considered some ‘representing yourself’ terms, since he’s essentially the one putting himself on trial, but.
I don’t know what it is about this specific song that makes me go ‘this is the Verdict reasoning/putting together the pieces/thinking song’, but. It is what it is.
he's not kidding about Kanji's fashion, btw, man's one of the most well-dressed yakuza around.  Unlike his counterpart he doesn't have a full gold suit and switches it up, but if you see one of the most eye-catching shirts particularly if it's got some sort of metallic pattern on it it's probably Kanji.  (Honestly, he might be making one-of-a-kind shirts himself because he's awesome.)  Not over the top, not gaudy, but he absolutely would fit right in at a nightclub.

         “Do you even own a guitar anymore, Tacchi?” Jun asks, and Hanamura-kun gasps and whips around hard enough he accidentally walks into one of the trees on the shrine ground. Seta-kun looks concerned, but other than the wince, the pain can’t overcome the brunet’s excitement.
         “You play guitar, Suou-san?” he gasps, and Tatsumi-kun whistles.
         “Not gonna lie, that’s pretty sweet, Suou-san.”
         Tatsuya, meanwhile, looks like he wants to melt into the ground at all the attention. He can be really shy, though it’s easy to overlook if you don’t know what you’re looking for. “…Yes,” he answers after a bit, flicking his lighter quickly.
         Jun merely raises an eyebrow, silently asking which question he’d been answering, and his dragon answers, “…Both.” He takes a deep breath and continues more normally. “Though it’s been a while. I think it’s at Katsuya and Maya-nee’s, and I haven’t touched it in years. The strings will probably snap the second I do.”
         “I really need to get back into it,” Hanamura-kun’s renewed enthusiasm is touching, and it’s nice seeing that while he no longer plays there’s one hobby where Tatsuya hasn’t lost all interest.

         Suou-san glances at the costume and shakes his head.
         “I am leader,” Souji reminds him, and the snort that follows says exactly what the police officer thinks of his effort to assert his authority.
         “Tell you what. You get Jun to wear one, and I will too.”
         That seems…surprisingly easy. Kashihara-san is the type to go along with something like this.
         “I know. I’m negotiating for my own benefit. Also, you said that out loud, kid. Be careful.”
         Not for the first time, Souji finds himself wondering about the dynamic between the two older Persona-Users.

The song wasn’t actually due to the lotus. I was listening to the song separately and then went ‘wait there are parallels to Asura/Taisha in this storyline my heart ow’, after which I cranked this out at a point I definitely should have been sleeping.  And named the series.  Also some steins;gate parallels.
Contains the tradition of graduating high school seniors giving the second-to-top button of their gakuran (school uniform) to the one closest to their heart.
