         “It could really be worse. You could have a sideview mirror full of wasps.”
         “…How?”

“Oh, that menu’s very expensive. Oh, and my feet hurt. I’m tired of walking.”

Rohan: “Amagi, you shouldn’t hint to Okuyasu. He doesn’t do subtle.”

“Jotaro-san, don’t touch your hat! I think Killer Queen touched it.” Jotaro-san stares longingly at his hat like he’s half-tempted to wear it anyway before he puts his hand back in his pocket. Wait, maybe...his hat is like Josuke’s hair. He hadn’t bothered to think about it like that. That’s super kewl.

Also, apparently there was something about the trunk of a car that was super menacing. I actually got to see the camera pan around and the menacing start to rise off.

         Jotaro-san stands frozen in the doorway, eyes wider than Buffy’s ever seen them. It looks like he’s entirely forgotten what he’d come to ask her, which is fair, and she’s pretty sure she’s never actually seen him as scared as he is right now, probably because he has absolutely no idea what he’s supposed to do in this situation. Buffy sympathizes. She wants the ground to swallow her up, right now. She doesn’t even care that she’d have to claw her way out like in her nightmares. Right now she doesn’t want to be visible at all.
         Finally, like time has started again, he speaks. “You are both getting a health exam. You are going to be careful if you’re not already.” And then the door slams, probably harder than he intended.
         “That went well,” Faith remarks, smug.
         Buffy shoves her off and promptly attempts to smother herself in the blankets, which is the closest she can get to disappearing into the ground. “Don’t talk to me.”
         “Can’t hear you, babe.” Her girlfriend is still far too happy given the absolute embarrassment of the moment.

         “Moon cards?” Souji blinks, staring befuddled at the cards in his hand. There are quite a lot of them, and he’s never gotten those from a Shuffle Time before.
         “Think those are for me, thanks,” Suou-san states gruffly and plucks them from Souji’s hand.
         “What are they for?” Now that he’s not only allowed but encouraged to indulge his curiosity, he’s found it’s kind of addicting.
         “Fusing new Personas,” Kashihara-san answers when it becomes clear Suou-san is not going to respond. “It’s a much more complicated process for us. I was wondering how it was going to work without me having to tell demon horoscopes or Tatsuya doing his impressions.”

         “Uh. Is he all right?” Hanamura-kun asks, staring at Tatsuya, who has managed to fall asleep on one of the uncomfortable Junes chairs. Jun has yet to find an angle that doesn’t hurt, but he’s sitting elegantly anyway.
         Jun smiles reassuringly. “Tatsu-chan does this sometimes. Please pay him no mind. I’ll tell him what he missed later; please continue, Hanamura-kun.”

         Bones is used to waking up from the dead by now. It’s routine. What’s less so is that for once, Jim’s letting his guilt show.
         “You were possessed,” he explains, which really does explain everything.

        Leon glances around his apartment curiously when they get back, half certain the Slayers got in and installed something or left gifts or…something.  He’d been trying to be subtle, but apparently Xander noticed anyway because he chuckles.
        “You said you got a new game?” he asks, curious, and, well, seemingly they haven’t gotten to the destination yet.  Still, it’ll be nice that the system bought on a whim won’t continue to gather dust, so he boots it up.
        It’s only when Xander teases him as they get through another mission that somehow leads to them both wrestling on the floor that the truth hits Leon.
        “I thought all this time you were stalling for something special, but—I was wrong.”  He glances up, absolutely sure, to an adoring blue-eyed gaze.  “This has all been special,” he continues, the romantic in him touched beyond words.  He’d been expecting a big gesture, but a lot of little ones is awfully sweet, too.
        “Took you long enough.”  It’s gentle and not mocking, but Leon feels the urge to kiss the satisfaction off of the demon hunter’s face anyway.

        It’s obvious something is going on when it takes almost forty minutes to get to a fast food joint less than half that distance away.  Not that it hadn’t been obvious before that, but Redgrave has given up being subtle and pretending he’s not planning anything.  Xander continues to be mysteriously silent on the subject, starting a discussion about the movie when they finally park.  He just smiles and continues the earlier conversation when asked any questions, which is frustrating, but Leon will figure it out.  He starts a little when Leon reaches out to take his hand, but other than the shy sweet smile it doesn’t get Xander off track.  He only pauses for a moment then continues, gesturing harder with the other hand as he continues his story.

        “Jim—thank goodness; I woke up and I’m not sure…”  He trails off.  He knows that small frown of confusion; doesn’t see it much, sure, but.
        “Uhm, hi.  You okay?”
        His world tilts under him again.  “No—no, Jim, please, you know me, it’s Bones—”  Only desperation has him saying that stupid nickname, but he needs this.
        “Trust me, I’d remember a good looking guy like you.”
        The world moves, again, an earthquake in miniature, and he watches the panic filter into those blue eyes and registers that, suddenly, he’s being held carefully in familiar arms.  “Now, I’d like to say it’s every day that handsome fellows like you fall for me, but it really isn’t,” Jim jokes, but there’s a strain in his voice and concern in his eyes that’s pretty rare.  “What happened?  Are you okay?  Do I need to call someone?”

        Mr. Wright, Miles muses one sentimental morning into his teacup, is much like an earthquake.
        He will, of course, never utter this to his friend, who would undoubtedly take it incorrectly, but it is true.  He’s not afraid of Wright, not really, but the man has a habit of barging into his life unexpectedly and shaking his world apart, and he’s not always the best at adapting in the wake of such things.
        But—he’s also like his namesake.  For all the destructive force and raw, terrifying power, Phoenix only ever wants to renew, to burn and tear down that which need not be kept, that which contributes nothing to the world, in order to coax out new life.
        Doubtless he would laugh, would rub a hand at the back of his spikes and disavow any power he held.  But it would not make any of this any less true.
        Edgeworth, of course, is in awe of this power.  In awe, and sometimes he feels his own powers of adaptability are woefully inadequate, but never once has he felt afraid of the man himself (well, no, perhaps that is a lie, perhaps, early on after their reunion, but no more).
