alternate beginning to Stone Ocean where Jolyne has her Stand as a kid, and someone takes her and her mom hostage and Jotaro's there and trying to calculate who he's got time to punch first and Jolyne's like "save mom I got this" and turns herself into strings the second he does.

Also, apparently he's a "mangaka" but thinking back through it he probably sent stories back home for Jolyne for when he wasn't there and his wife decided to illustrate them and send them to a publisher under his name. He's not particularly happy about it, but Jolyne started bragging about it at school, so he didn't tell her to stop, just yare yare dazed at her.

this bugs Rohan. I think he keeps trying to be a rival to Jotaro, possibly with a ‘how dare you be hot’ and Jotaro is just like ??? why do you care. Which upsets Rohan even more because he’s like ‘you have no respect for the craft’.

but, like, they've apparently got the teamwork thing down for years, so. I'm pretty sure that'd change the beginning and very possibly the ending.

Maybe she does get locked up at the beginning anyway, and she worries it’s because she’s been acting out that Jotaro didn’t come, except they couldn’t get ahold of him because he was on Stand business and he comes the second he can.

Like, they don’t argue. Well, they do, they bicker a lot, but they’re actually getting along. No one else gets it. But, like, that has to change a lot.

okay, kishibe rohan, poaching reef.  it says that the higashikata family owns the reef.  is that a translation error?  since rohan  doesn't throw a fit.  or does josuke's family actually own the reef? or did norisuke jump universes somehow?
