madimpossibledreamer(okay episode 3 was odd. i could've taken the nightlife including the bdsm, probably, if not for the blind naked drug people. what was that about??? and how could you even begin to explain that because it made absolutely no sense.
still loving spike & jet interactions, and spike with layers of motivation.
also why couldn't hakim still be black? i mean...okay maybe with the storyline maybe they were trying to get away from 'black servant less important than dog'. ....okay, that's fair.
edit: also a reminder that this episode is a master class in please do not flirt with black people like they are food that's weird
also not sold on vicious. so far, he looks like lucius malfoy, which i was willing to overlook, but he's acting like darth acne and the story keeps undercutting him and i'm like...man can i at least get some diavolo in venice or marcone vibes or something here?? tbf i think a decent amount of that is the writing, too, but. man.)
The romance between Souji and Yosuke is a normal one between a vampire and a werewolf (i.e. that fic where I ignore my own 'that's a magician' headcanon.) ...Maybe it's a vampiric magician. I could live with that for a fic.
