“I’ve found out something you’re not going to like.” It’s a burner phone, one Malcolm doesn’t know about. He’s not going to make an obvious mistake like that. Not now. “Same place, same Hood channel?”
Despite himself, Ollie laughs at that, but doesn’t answer the question right away. “I’m sorry. My team doesn’t quite trust you yet.”
“Can you just, uh, thank them for me, like, right now? Because I am. Really grateful. I get backup, for what it’s worth…” Ollie snorts at that, probably thinking something uncharitable about Malcolm, which is more than okay, “...and the thought of you with no one to watch your back...bothered me.” In ways he can’t put into words.
“Can do. You know the old abandoned bar, the one we both hated ‘cause it was too quiet and not ‘fun’ enough?” Not too far, probably because he wants to be able to work on this right after, because he picked up on the slight urgency in Tommy’s voice. Smart man.
“I’m there in ten.” Technically, it’s trespassing and they’ll probably have to parkour in. At least that’ll be fun, even if nothing else is.

“Okay, Felicity, Thea and I have been brainstorming,” Tommy greets Oliver, kissing him on the cheek as he enters the hideout.
“Oh, great,” Ollie complains, rolling his eyes, but he’s not as put out as he’s acting. He’s half paying attention now even as he leafs through some printouts Felicity had wanted him to read. Thea pauses in her attacking she’d continued to call a ‘jungle gym’ just to annoy her brother to wave and wipe her forehead of sweat.
“We’ve been talking about names and outfits…” Tommy begins, and holds up a hand as the older Queen turns to face his boyfriend almost violently. “Look, I don’t want to hear it, okay? I’m probably going to have to be in the field at some point, if only because of the psychometry deal. And I am not wearing my normal clothes or having you call me ‘Tommy’ over the comms, for protection.” He sits in one of the comfy rolling chairs and rolls right up to his best friend’s side, reaching out to rub the tense back and grinning at the torn expression in response to his words. “There’s a couple choices. Thea said Vision, but I’m pretty sure I’ve seen that in the comics. Insight. Intuition, Prophet, Esper—that one’s kinda anime, but it’d be different. Felicity likes The Observer, and kind of wants a title herself, although she wants more time to think about it.”
“You can’t just choose one too quickly. It’s something important that you should put a lot of thought and work into,” Felicity begins, then starts to babble. “N-not that I think you’re rushing into it or being reckless or anything. I mean, you’re getting second opinions, so that probably counts, doesn’t it? It should, shouldn’t it. Between the two of you, Tommy, you tend to think about things more than Ollie, and—wait—”
They smile fondly at her, and she shuts up, blushing.
“I like The Observer or Insight, if we have to act like we’re playing pretend with superheroics like we’re seven again,” Oliver admits, leaning in for another quick kiss.

Summary: Ollie and Tommy go on a date. Their dates never quite go as planned.

Tommy wakes up slowly and finally Oliver’s face comes into focus, bent above him. The world keeps flickering to greyscale and back, but the green of the Hood is a reassuring fixture, something to focus on. It takes him a few moments to realize the pillow beneath his leg is actually his boyfriend’s thigh, and the pressure on his forehead is a hand trailing through his hair. The thought of how he’d managed to miss Ollie’s crush occurs to him, because the instant he sees Tommy’s awake, a giant smile appears. He doesn’t smile like that with just anyone, not even Thea, and he loves Thea a lot.
But then, for a stoic, seemingly uncaring man, he’s got a heart too big for the city.
“How are you feeling?” he asks softly, gently, massaging Tommy’s forehead now.
“I have a slight headache still, but otherwise I’m fine.” And his vision will not stop flickering into Eagle Vision, but it doesn’t hurt as badly, but he’s not going to say that out loud when he doesn’t know where he is and who’s around.
“I hate to ask, but…is she trustworthy?” Oliver continues, motioning in a direction with his head, and Tommy glances over to see—oh yeah, the museum curator. She’s crumpled on the floor, like she hasn’t moved since she fell. She smiles nervously and waves. As he glances over, his vision flickers again.
“She’s blue. Oliver, why is she on the floor?” Tommy asks, suspicion slowly dawning.
“Tommy…” Ollie sounds a little embarrassed.
“Oliver Jonas Queen. What did you do?” He moves his head a little so he can more easily stare into his guilty boyfriend’s eyes.
Who fidgets a little under the stare. “I overreacted to my unwarranted jealousy and your collapsing. I already apologized.”
Tommy glances over at Cayla Mondadori, who shrugs, a smile plaing around her lips. “Close enough.”
He glances back at Queen, who’s still fidgety. “You’re still in trouble.”
“I figured,” the vigilante sighs.
( could something just go the way he wants it to for once? )
