More extraneous dialogue. “Even then, I dare say disintegration would not agree with you. Care to find out?”

Reading about Looms for a later part and getting sidetracked reading about the Newblood houses and...yeah, that fits Blake extremely well, so him actually having a second heart before his first regeneration is more meaningful for the plot than just for survival. Yay for awesome coincidence.

If you asked me how many YAHF stories I plan on making my only answer is something along the lines of ‘until somebody stops me’. Given that Blake’s 7 was one of the creative influences on B5 and Xander is canonically a huge B5 nerd I can absolutely believe he tracked down some of the old VHS tapes to watch. So this is one of the more plausible ones I’ve written, at least.
I was also briefly tempted to choose Vila instead. But the idealism + somewhat judginess just feels more Xander.
If you want more Paul Darrow play the FMV game Contradiction which is an amazingly camp murder mystery. I am actually vaguely angry I’m the only one I’ve seen who recognized him instantly (or, you know, at all).
Edit: renaming chapter because I've decided I like the Latin chapter title naming in a different story. Used to be named A Step to the Left (which was a nice 'something's wrong' indicator but doesn't match name scheme).
