Game Rec: Ace Attorney

Sometimes goofy, sometimes dark games about the adventures of lawyers.  If you think the ridiculousness of questioning a parrot is out there, just remember: in Perry Mason, Perry wanted to call a burro to the stand.  Just saying.

Recommended Players:

Ø  Pharaoh2091: If you want a fairly mellow experience, he’s the one you’d watch.  He’s played every game, so he has a good knowledge of the history of the universe.  His reaction to the reveal of the sketches in Apollo Justice (part 54: Hidden Sketches) is gold, and his reaction to puns is also pretty entertaining.

Ø  Mirowood’s playthrough of Apollo Justice: Unfinished, but oh man, is it good.  The park is so made of people, and it’s got what I’d have to consider the best Klavier voice actor.  (I headcanon the Gavins as actually being German, despite what the Powers That Be say, because it’s more fun that way.)  What makes it good is that he gets a whole cast of people to help him out in the voice acting.  I probably watched/listened to this…wayyyy too many times.  Didn’t get super far, but Case 2, particularly part 25 on, is amazing.  Tiala being voiced by a guy is also very humorous.

Ø  NicoB’s funny.

Ø  TheZachman18 for ages was the only one to have played Dual Destinies the whole way through.  (I didn’t go back and check out the rest of his content, but he’s definitely interesting.  I don’t like his Edgeworth voice though… [pretty much the only thing to have bugged me during the DD playthrough…])

Ø  I actually have no idea what Bennibanny5 is saying, considering he’s a German let’s player…but come on, you have to hear Klavier speaking in German at some point during your life.

Ø  I feel bad that you’re missing out on KZX’s Ace Attorney let’s play, since his Edgeworth was actually pretty good, his reaction to a character returning was amazing, and his reaction to the sidekick was also pretty good.  It went unlisted, but the reasons behind that decision are probably important, so.  (Instead, check out his Nocturne let’s play, I guess…? No wait, watch Ghost Trick, that’s nearly Ace Attorney.  Gumshoe’s even kind of in it.)

Ø  Tyranee’s Let’s Dub is pretty good, especially the Dual Destinies one.  The voice actors are good, I like Blackquill’s entrance, and everyone’s reactions when whoever’s playing the game mess up are excellent.  Phoenix apparently has some sort of time control powers.  (I also like how they don’t always read the lines as written and just snark at each other.  Especially Apollo and Athena snarking at each other.)  Endlessly.

Ø  Glem3 and Llamagirl300 had fun in theirs, and I liked the duo banter.  (Don’t know if they ever played beyond the first game though.)

Ø  Sirlionhart: I didn’t watch a lot, but it was an interesting contrast to watching others over and over again…

Ø  TaisatheGamer: Mostly for a female perspective on things.
