And yeah. He might not have a warrant to break in, or anything. But he’s off the clock, there’s at least one woman and probably even more people to save, given the whole lockdown thing, and at the moment he doesn’t particularly care. He can just fix it all back up using Crazy Diamond, anyway.
“Coming through!” he yells, just in case anyone’s on the other side and could get hurt, and smashes his way right in.
He doesn’t quite brace himself enough. Almost immediately, he’s hit with a wall of water, followed up shortly by a stampede of panicking people, and has to punch the door again just to stop it from healing right back up. He’s barely ready enough to realize he needs to get out of the way, quick, and hauls himself out of the way using Crazy D, but yeah, it does feel like he got trampled a bit and yeah, that spot on the back of his leg is definitely going to bruise. Great. He’s not even going to think about his hair. It sounds like the water flow got a lot quieter on Jotaro-san’s end, but he doesn’t have time to think about that right now.
“Mr. Higashikata, sir?” There’s a guy in a uniform holding out a hand to haul him up. Josuke’s pretty sure he recognizes the guy from earlier, one of the ones giving him the stink-eye as he chatted up Imogen. “We’d like to apologize for your treatment earlier. We need help.”
He’s really not kidding. The red-head that’d been with him turns out to be an oni or something, because she’s suddenly a lot taller and the only reason he recognizes her is her red hair’s the same. Her skin’s also peeling off like she’d been badly burned. The guy’s fine.
“Sitrep,” he demands, starting toward the gap he’d made, pausing only when he realizes they’re not following. They don’t have time for this. “I healed her because it’s the right thing to do. C’mon, fill me in. We need to move.”
The woman’s the first to recover. Her skin’s still red after healing, but at least it’s not raw and blistery. “Some kind of attack, perp unknown. Triggered lockdown, locking us all inside, and then the fire sprinklers went off, only they’d been filled with some sort of holy water. We’ve got the deluge sprinkler system. Nonstandard, but fire’s also a problem for a lot of our employees, and most running water isn’t an issue. Nothing’s draining, and it shouldn’t be going on this long.”
So Geoffrey set this up. Josuke doesn’t care if one of these employees was literally Angelo or Kira, brutally torturing all of them is just inhumane. And sure, some of them are obviously demons, and the asshole obviously knew that if he took precautions like ‘holy water’ or whatever. He vaguely remembers Holly-san talking about that. If Geoffrey thinks he’s a good guy, he’s really, really wrong about that, and Josuke looks forward to at minimum breaking his nose, because some things you absolutely don’t do.
“I’m sure some of our employees can’t get out, between the lockdown doors and the fact that the sun’s up and some of them can’t actually go outside.” Security Guy finally catches up. He might be human, given that he seems to be less in shape, but then, ‘demon’ seems to be a lot more varied than Josuke had thought.
Okay, first things first. This water feels fine on his skin, but it’s clearly not good for anyone else. Crazy D does manage to shut it off—mostly—but the dripping is still an issue, and any of them moving to safety will be a nightmare in all this. The security lady wasn’t kidding about the draining, either. Sure, it’s only waist high now and draining outside, but that’s slowing down and a lot of them are probably already exposed a bit too much to this stuff, and it might not be a lot but at some point even just a little more could kill them, from shock or whatever. “Try to get the wounded in here, if you can, and start first aid if you’ve got training. Be careful about opening doors, though.” He doesn’t want to assume, because he’s not sure how applicable traditional first aid is on—like, do vampires even need to breathe? Do oni have a circulatory system? “I’ll try to get to whoever I can.” He gets a glimpse of Imogen, pale and terrified and obviously burnt, having wedged herself into a corner of the coffee counter, and he runs over.
He’d like to ask if she’s okay, reassure her, but that’s both wasting breath and kind of obvious. “Are you a vampire?”
She’s still trembling, but there’s a wary light in her eyes now. Ugh. She probably experiences a lot of that, and Josuke’s ashamed enough to admit he’d been like that not too long ago. “Why?”
Just the facts. “Will the sunlight hurt you?”
She relaxes a little bit, body language becoming a touch less closed off. Not as welcoming as she’d been before, but then again, she has no reason to think he wouldn’t be weird about this, and she’d also just been through something very traumatizing. “Oh. Um, no.”
He’s just spotted something that could be an issue—one of those plastic trays for...he doesn’t know. Cleaning dishes? Mixing up soapy water? Whatever it is, it looks pretty full, and precarious, and it’s going to fall on her the second she moves, and the interior still looks pretty full of water, and he’s not even sure he can help her down. “Okay. This might hurt a bit, so brace yourself. And then, once you get outside, find somewhere safe if you can.” He punches her using Crazy D as hard as he can, and she definitely looks shocked as she goes sailing over the water and out through the hole he’d made. The impact of hitting the ground will hurt, but at least he’s healed her from everything else, so hopefully it’ll be fine.
The security guy looks startled, then pokes his head out and gives a thumbs-up, which probably means she’s fine? Josuke’s not sure she’d want to see him anyway, after that, and anyone else able to walk outside is doing better than anyone else not able to walk, so others in here are probably more in need of healing than the ones outside. And, ugh, Crazy Diamond feels drenched, now, which means he does too. At least it didn’t mess with his hair any more than the water from the door did.
And then the lights turn on outside.

Josuke kind of had a warning from the call with Jotaro, because he still can’t hear anything other than roaring from the other end, but this time, it’s pretty obvious that something went wrong, because the doors are locked. Probably some kind of lockdown. A lot of businesses have those, these days—at least in America.
And yeah. He might not have a warrant to break in, or anything. But he’s off the clock, there’s at least one woman and probably even more people to save, given the whole lockdown thing, and at the moment he doesn’t particularly care. He can just fix it all back up using Crazy Diamond, anyway.
