also...not so happy about the Gay Panic (as in the bs "self defense" argument substory. what the hell, yakuza, I thought you were cool. (then again, I remember reading about the bad trans substory and all the Straight Gamer Whining that the people who made the game went "this is dated and our product is better off without it", so...maybe it's not a case of it didn't happen as, looking back on it, the writers & producers thought it aged badly for the remasters. These are the same people who will pull the "It didn't make it into the game so it's not canon" yosuke/souji anti-shippers [but they didn't rework everything, just the S.L.10 bit, and even then it's still in the data so they cut it LATE in production] and the "CLEARLY TATSUYA/JUN IS NOT CANON" even though it's not a mod and artist Kazuma Kaneko thinks it's the most likely to be canon [also adding that whoever you ship is canon so basically legitimizing the ship]) ...ehhh, but on the other hand there was that clearly stereotyped but respectful fare Kiryu got, so. they're sadly at least better than others but they need to do more. (oh wait 5's getting a remaster too? maybe they fixed
it? it looks new gen enough I thought they didn't do 5 or 6)
(also kind of wondering whether Park was introduced as a game beard [he's STRAIGHT WE SWEAR], but she's vicious enough I can see him going for considering I think he's strength-sexual AND is unpredictable enough that it's not out of character)
