Warning: discussion of ableism
Some people have pointed out that treating Alfendi as possibly dangerous is kind of ableist, and yes, probably, but they also had reason to believe he'd actually killed someone, so there's also that. But now that it occurs to me...Sherlock, at least as far as I watched, was written kind of similar to (Al? the rude one. I like the idea of using other nicknames than the ones Level 5 gave us but also have no idea about the common usage and scrolling tumblr is hard when you do not actually have one, especially when it seems like this convo is old news to everyone else). Rude, general disregard for other people's feelings, general fascination with murder...and yep, same thing, it's insisted that one day they're going to walk into a crime scene he caused and I'm pretty sure there weren't any previous "oh yeah he shot somebody and confessed to it" incidents, which means there is absolutely no grey area here. Sally is definitely being ableist there. Not paying attention to the 'people who are neurodivergent are more likely to be a victim of a crime' stats.
(also i want sherlock and alfendi to just...lecture someone, politely frosty, about the statistics of how people with mental disabilities are more likely to be victims and how they're obviously ableist and need sensitivity training and so on. also a mystery room inspired thing with sherlock holmes with sherlock and holmes as alters if written well would've been better than the bbc sherlock we got, but hey, the keywords there are 'written well' right?)
