Calm, collected, and just has that deep voice.  Lots of deadpan and anime jokes.  (There’s also some more risqué content if that’s more your cup of tea than horror.  I can’t guarantee quality of content there as I haven’t watched, but I assume it’s still calm, collected, and Awesome Narrator Voice.)  In general, if you want to watch a game all the way through, including all the endings…well, Manly does like to explore.  (Though not in every case, just most of ‘em.)  Also tends to be genre savvy and guesses (some) of the twists early.  Points out when games are being ridiculous, too, but plays along anyway.

Recommended Games:

Ø  Crimson Grey: Explores the psyche of a yandere.  I liked his voice acting and exploration.

Ø  Stay: An interesting ‘escape the room’ narrative in which you’re somehow on the computer with a person locked in a room.  And then a house.  The main character may or may not be annoying at times, but the psychological discussions and creepy abandoned house feel are worth it.

Ø  My Lovely Daughter: Been described as a twisted Fullmetal Alchemist.  The character you’re playing is Faust, and he has a daughter.  He also has a house full of (disposable) homunculi.

Ø  Simulacra: You’ve found a (potentially possessed?) phone.

Ø  Maize: A subtle, sarcastic sense of humor pairs perfectly with the oddness of, well.  It’s an already strange sense of humor game.  Think David Lynch, but more light-hearted, and you’ve probably got it.

Ø  From Next Door: Basically Junji Ito (famous Japanese horror writer), and since Manly has read a lot of Junji Ito, he can explain the similarities as well as everything that’s going wrong.  You move into a new house that’s cheap for a reason.  A horror-related reason.

Ø  NightCry: Clock Tower Spiritual Sequel, says the first episode, and it’s not wrong.  But at the same time…it’s the discount version aboard a boat with janky controls.

Ø  Chelsea: Actually kind of sweet.  And horrifying.  It’s impressive.

Ø  Konstandin: Pretty sure this never made it out of demo phase, but interesting nonetheless.  Loving couple in a weird/creepy environment in the woods (outside their house).

Ø  ENIGMA: An Illusion Named Family: Kind of has a Higurashi feel to it?  Main character wakes up in a dysfunctional family mansion to find his mother has been murdered in his room.  It all escalates from there.

Ø  Lifeless Planet: Sci-Fi horror.  I don’t think I’ve seen anyone else play this, and it’s a fascinating horror game.

Ø  DreadOut: Indonesian Fatal Frame.  It has a sort of charm Fatal Frame doesn’t?  (Most of that’s the intro, isn’t it?)

Ø  The Nameless Game: A DS game about a cursed DS game.  Very meta.

Ø  The Boogie Man: He voice acted in this game, but it’s also my favorite of Uri’s games, so….  (I mean.  Detective.)
