rest of Doctor Who: Everyone is a main character in their own game.  From the most experimental indie game to the most AAA action game, there's a role and a genre for everyone, and all the games are important.

Moffat's Doctor Who: Legit the only main character is the Doctor.  Everyone else are NPCs.  Sure, they might play important roles, but you can never play that character.
