Giles' Detective Agency: [Prologue]
Nov. 10th, 2018 08:25 pmI don't have the next rec done yet, so I might end up having a few more fanfic postings in the next couple days (throwing off my schedule, mah!)
...also, Sunnydale Herald, I love you, but I lost it when it said Angel appeared last chapter, considering, well...uhm. Events in the first couple chapters of the volume. Man, that's dark humour.
This particular entry was written aaaaaages ago so it fits the (blast from the past) warning label (i.e. this was written years ago and is only just now being posted), though I did touch up a few things (mostly because things changed and suddenly continuity didn't exist anymore). I did change things a bit; Xander's no longer as solemn as he'd been in the beginning (mostly because I didn't want any Ninja Theories in this establishment and the complete brooding wasn't interesting to write [or, I should imagine, to read]). Events in a certain chapter got a whole lot darker, which I'll probably touch on along with warnings during that chapter. Xander's powers ended up changing from initial imaginings. I'll probably touch on that later, too. There's some weird noir-ish looking out for Number One, even if they're a family (well, once they get to that point).
I'll keep the title, but call it a prologue, since I'm not entirely sure what I was thinking as the aforementioned detective agency is Sir Not Appearing in This Fic.
Oh, and while I'm at it, I'll mention that my previously posted story Echoes of Our Hearts has a Xander from around this fic, even if weird Glory rebooted world shenanigans got involved.
