Star Trek: Charlie X (First Watch: E2)

Thanks everyone!  I don't know what exactly you did, but I got the job, so thanks!  I've been celebrating by...reading about reasons people hate Moffat...and Star Trek meta!
(I'm already behind on writing the next chapter of Shadowed Suspicion, though, and since Fridays are one of the days and I will suddenly have a job on top of everything else...I'll try not to go into a hiatus before the finale but we'll see what happens)

Death/other maladies count: Entire ship (scientific), maybe a red shirt?  (although everybody’s wearing a red shirt when working out, or in Kirk’s case red pants, and he just disappeared.  Not sure if dead or what.), 1 blue shirt (lizard), 1 red shirt (poor Sulu’s yeoman, nope she’s back and fine), 1 yellow shirt (old), 1 blue shirt (+ 2 shadows) (faceless) 0? 

With that kid, this feels more like an x-files episode. Wth

“He seems to know what happened to the Antares before we did.” –Spock (and now he’s standing right outside as we were talking about him.  Creepy.)

Kirk wins chess against Spock by being unpredictable.  Illogical.  gj.

That’d be sweet if it wasn’t incredibly creepy and half stalkerish.

He’s lecturing on consent!!!  :D  “There are a million things you can have in this universe and a million things you can’t” and you have to learn to accept that.

“Go to your quarters or I’ll pick you up and carry you there.” —Kirk (That’s one way to deal with a kid.)

“We’re in the hands of an adolescent.” –Spock (I’m sure you can’t imagine anything worse.)

Kirk is a lion when it comes to his crew.  I also would like to point out that what got him running to the rescue was the thought of non-con.

Actually kind of being a dad + being the tactician.
