His daughter looks at him with the same skeptical face Kurisu gives him. “You’re an idiot,” she informs him, and then brings out her cell phone.
“That’s…not…necc—” he wheezes, but the world threatens to spin away again.
“Hello, Mommy. Sorry to bother you, but Daddy really doesn’t look good. Also, he’s being an idiot.”
“That could go without saying,” Kurisu responds, but even their daughter can hear the concern in her voice. “Hang on a minute; I should leave the lecture hall,” she states, but it isn’t even that before she’s back. “Put Daddy on.”
