Jack smirks inwardly.  He can provoke, talk about taking off right now and leaving the world to its untimely fate, while Yusei can be the sensible one.  This sort of selfishness is expected of him, really, and who is he to let down his audience?

He’d never do that, of course, but it won’t hurt to let Goodwin think so, especially if they can wring some answers out of the lying sleazeball’s plotting little neck.  If they’re going to be risking their lives out there, the least the man can do is give them enough answers to keep them alive.
