Windows. Thanks.
Dec. 14th, 2015 07:39 pmWell, someone's suggestion online worked--disabling the Store on my other computer left my programs intact. It's probably not suggested, but then, they'd prefer you to never use any third-party programs, ever. Even though their generic programs suck. They want to be able to collect all the data on you, and if you don't use the integrated programs it makes it harder. Ahem.
If you want instructions on how to do that, it's easy enough to find. I'll tell you if I get any BSODs after (due to 'program interference'), since that's the only right thing to do. Make your own judgements/choices.
(No Windows 9? Why? Either...
a) our advertising guys forgot how to count or
b) We had Windows 9 as a prototype but never actually put it into preview. We shelved it because it didn't have enough privacy invasion and control over peoples' lives.)
