Main Points:
Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Universe Optional (within boundaries)
Chapter Summary: Joseph thinks about the past, sometimes.
Word Count: 220
Rating: teen. Battle Tendency spoilers (though if you internet, you've probably been spoiled by now)
It’s no use wondering, but sometimes Joseph can’t help himself. Of what would’ve happened if Caesar had lived.
The Italian would have been best man, no doubt about that. He was the best man that Jojo had ever met, and not even death would change that.
The man would’ve loved Holly. Probably spoiled her rotten, as any good godparent should.
No matter what he was doing, where he was, he probably would’ve dropped everything at the first news that Holly was sick, rushed over to help. Would he just have had Hamon? Or would he have a Stand? What would’ve it looked like? What would its powers be?
Jotaro looks over the fire with eyes too wise, too solemn. He catches the mood. And for all he used to think of his grandpa as just a silly old man, he’s beginning to know better, to see past the façade.
And that’s something Joseph can’t have, so he cracks a joke, teases his grandson. The way the teen shakes his head, he’s been successfully distracted, even as he narrows his eyes a little at the obvious ploy.
There’s one thing Joseph Joestar knows for sure. He’s not alone. Caesar may not be physically by his side anymore, but from that day with Wammu forward he’s been fighting alongside Joseph in spirit.
