Buffy/NCIS/JJBA Dialoguefic
Summary: This one’s the teenager, the softer-spoken one with pierced ears and who’s definitely bisexual. He really likes SPWF lady, but he’ll have dreams (wet dreams) of Fitz. Who he misses, a lot.
A Watcher comes and offers Xander a position on the Watcher’s Council (and asks if there’s any truth to the rumor that the SPWF are considering taking the Slayers under their wing).

“I appreciate the offer; I really do. But if it would involve anything like my previous encounters with the Council, you can kindly bugger off.” He purposefully changes his accent to Joseph’s posh voice; it makes the impact that much stronger. He knows full well what the words mean, how serious they are, and the representative startles at the accent, at the knowing look in his eyes. Defeated, the man starts to walk off, and he calls after, “Thanks for not having Travers talk to me. That shows some courtesy, at least. And, y’know, common human decency.”
(about Gibbs) “I don’t like it when people ask questions that I can’t answer, not because I’d actually tell them because I wouldn’t, but because no one bothered to fill me in in the first place. And I can’t answer about the Foundation because I don’t know.”
Gibbs spots a tuxedoed Xander at a function and sends DiNozzo over to listen. He doesn’t hear all of it, but does hear something about a council and a SPWF.
Xander’s attending with (possibly the TOWS AU love interest?) a pretty woman, slightly older. She works for the Speedwagon Foundation, and he’s trying to figure out whether the rumors are true (“and if the Council heard about it before me? I’m seriously hurt”) (there’s also a rumor about him taking his place as head of SPWF and reclaiming the Joestar title & stuff). She looks a little guilty so he knows something’s at least being considered, even if it’s not exactly what the Council heard. “If it’s a big decision, I’d like a little forewarning in the timetable so I can think about it,” he says and doesn’t probe any further.
He sees Gibbs and mentions that to her. Gibbs acts like he sees him and comes closer. “Don’t go full interrogation mode on her, and don’t shoot her. Anything else she can probably handle, so I’m not too worried. Uh, what else? She’s not my girlfriend.” At the glance, his eyebrow raises slightly. “…U-unless we’re not on the same page here, and there’s a misunderstanding, in which case we should probably talk about it. But maybe not right in front of my dad. She’s a friend from work, and we’ll flirt with each other, and there’s definitely attraction there, but neither of us has really taken the step to go any further. Unless, again, there’s a misunderstanding, in which case there’s a problem in communication. Good luck with this, I’m gonna go snag a tray of hors d’snacks.”
He finds DiNozzo eating a lot and his eyes get a little hard. He waits until Tony puts an entire cracker and toppings in his mouth before he speaks. “So. What did you hear when you were spying on me for Gibbs?”
There’s a lot of coughing and spluttering, and Tony tries to deny it, but Xander shakes his head. “If I’d have realized you were there, I would’ve probably made the report a little more colorful. I only realized someone was listening when I saw you trying to surreptitiously get away from the corner the lady and I were in as fast as you could go.”
She’s pretty much on the same page. “I kind of want to actually date him, but at the same time, I’ve never had such a good friend before. Or one that I’m comfortable just being around, flirting and all. There’s no expectations, no disappointment, just goofing off and having a good time. I like him, yeah, but I like this.”
