I guess I see Bayonetta as feminist because of the game's treatment of Luca, the guy who keeps pursuing our MC and can't decide whether he wants to kiss or kill her (a common problem for a lot of desperate-shaped men out there).  Now, the game doesn't treat him as terrible for this (men's brains don't mature as quickly.  being dumb is
a thing that happens, not that that's an excuse because we all make mistakes but it's on us to LEARN FROM THEM and become a better person), but it's also kind of obvious he doesn't have a chance.  She teases him and plays practical jokes, but she's fine on her own.  She's powerful and can take care of herself and is a fully fleshed out, complicated person.  (Unless she does get together with Jeanne by 2, in which case more power to her.  Making the choices what to do with your body and your life to make you happy as long as you aren't hurting other people in a way that they don't like is a GREAT thing.  Because people are people, not objects.)  And Luca settles down and realizes 'no, sexy woman does not equal relationship or sex', which good on him.  He matures. Which is not always a given with Yuri Lowenthal characters, much as he's an amazing voice actor.
