I didn't really trust Honey from my own POV. Figured it sounded too good to be true and never downloaded it because I was like "wait it's active in your cart...is it not stealing your credit card numbers and codes?"
And then about four years back I watched a video about some cookie stuffing scheme. Hmm. Wonder why that sounds familiar.
(Original MCW and affiliatemarketingmc, though he seems to be softer on it in the latest video?)
(I'm guessing it's independent discovery rather than pseudo-plagiarism at this point, especially with how terrible the youtube and search algorithms have become, but it's kind of ironic that "I'm the first person to talk about a company taking credit for a sale they didn't make" is a part of the video. The interviews teased for the second part are as far as I'm aware new. Neither of the videos I watched 4 years ago mentioned that. Also weirdly ironically the 2nd video I watched which was more of a comedy skit had a follow-up video filmed earlier but released later that also alleged some bigger channel taking credit for his discovery too? It's all a very weird web here.)
