These two specifically I chose to excise when a) deciding that yeah, Desmond's going snooping after all, and b) Desmond does actually almost skewer Shaun after all, mostly because neither of them would have taken the moment as seriously if it was a near-miss. They should, but.

Well. Honestly, it’s not like he really needs that much; he’s used to not having many belongings and traveling light, but the area of London he’s in actually is blocked off too, though this one looks like there’s police and there might have been some kind of murder investigation going on. He suspects it doesn’t have anything to do with the attempted shooting, since most of the activity’s going down in Darkside and not on the street with Templar Hall and the nightclub. He’s lived in a big city before, too, so he should be kind of used to this, but he doesn’t remember there being this many sirens, nearly constantly. He doesn’t know what’s going on exactly because he’s trying not to poke his nose in and get too involved, especially since this is Templar territory and he doesn’t want to rile them up any more than they already are. He’s gotten to pretty good terms with them, for now, and doesn’t want to mess that up. Among other things, they’ve got Shaun and Rebecca in their ranks and it’d really suck to have to try to fight them, even if they don’t actually remember him. But now his curiosity is piqued.
Bill had definitely disapproved when he’d practiced last-minute twisting the kill stab aside, but hadn’t said a word when that had saved at least one of his fellow Assassins from being stabbed through the neck while he was Bleeding.
