I hope that more people can learn about abusive relationships from fic, etc, than in real life, or at least hope people can learn they’re abusive and get the courage to leave. That won’t be fixed if “bad” things aren’t depicted, and Ao3 does label things as “archive warnings”. Warnings do not foretell of positive things that one should aspire to encounter in real life.
