the moff has managed to kill off one thing and have someone actually experience consequences after. And that’s my love of doctor who. While it has sorta resurrected, it will never be the same again, which is why any projects involving it are going on long hiatuses (mostly The Joker Game, though other projects got tabled before they even got started & will remain unwritten). Even thirteen, who was lovely—when it became too hard to watch, I didn’t try to find convoluted workarounds. I went “oh, that’s sad” and then didn’t try. I’ll probably own the dvds eventually unless capitalism kills off actual ownership of things, but. It’s not going to be like the DVD with Dalek which now no longer functions. It’s basically zombieform, a shell of its former self. Even the return of RTD and Tennant, I went “Oh, I’m not subscribing to the mouse for that” and went about my day. Even though I’m sure it’s brilliant and the writing is there.
