Persona 4 Arcana Life
Chapter Summary: Souji saves his boyfriend.

“I’m seriously wiped out!” Yosuke must be feeling a little better if he’s allowing himself to complain rather than keeping that to himself. “Honestly, it feels like I was the one going through the whole set up there. Sweet moves, Partner.”
“When I was acting to save my boyfriend, how could I do anything less?” Souji responds, a little embarrassed but trying to be suave even as he helps the brunet to his feet.
“Aw, stop it. You’re not gonna see a blush anyway with all the makeup on, so cut it out already.” Yosuke doesn’t let go once he’s on his feet, adjusting his grip so they can hold hands, and at Souji’s questioning eyebrow ducks his head, shyly avoiding his gaze. “You said you missed holding my hand, right? Besides, if I suddenly collapse or something, you’ll be there to catch me.”
Souji really needs his analytical Second right now, though, as sweet as that is. “You figure out anything?”
Yosuke thinks, foot starting to tap to its own rhythm again. The instant his eyes widen in surprise, it’s obvious that he had in fact found an important clue. “Actually, yeah. And it’s no wonder Naoto-kun didn’t catch this, either; a detective doesn’t have experience with this. Those Shadows felt like an audience right before a performance. I don’t know if they’re actual fans or are being influenced by the person controlling this world, but…”
“…The fans who went into comas,” Souji realizes, frowning, stance unconsciously switching to his default fight stance from determination. “But if we win, we could possibly save them.”
“Yeah.” Yosuke smiles proudly and flushes as Souji squeezes his hand, wanting to express his affection but unwilling to kiss him in front of everyone.
