Wocky’s an interesting kid. He’s actually been attending school with Clay like a normal, not-law obsessed person, but yeah, we’ve really helped his grades and attendance record. His dad came to see us, and honestly, that was scarier than fighting for my life, not gonna lie. I think he threatened me into taking free pastries for life, which isn’t exactly the most nutritious but we’re all starving kids, especially when we’ve been in the TV. I also think if we ever needed to they’d absolutely help us hide a body, though luckily we’ve never been that unsuccessful. I do think we’ve helped him get off the ‘revenge at any cost’ track which is great. I’m slightly uncomfortable with how much he thinks he owes us, and the fact that he doesn’t feel like he can ask us for anything ‘because he’s burdened us already’, but honestly, it’s no problem. It’s helping us all get out of our comfort zones which is great.
It’s kind of worrying how well he took his Major Arcana, too—he’s got the Tower, which is the second worst card if you’re including minor Arcana, according to the book, and he just went ‘I get to beat up some wack Shadows’ which is…probably not the healthiest attitude, if I’m being honest. But it is what it is. He can definitely be arrogant, though part of that is a façade, I’m pretty sure. And he’s also our resident trouble magnet. But while it’s kind of slow, he is learning from his problems, so that’s good. His secondary Arcana are Magician (the desire to be depended on, action, self-confidence, tragedy, individualism, hates quietness and being bored), Devil (tendency for violence, independent, well-acquainted with the darker side of humanity, needs to learn to ask for help, respects hard work, would’ve been good in a good relationship, antisocial tendencies), Fool (his tendency to act without thinking which can be good when we need quick action, his love of freedom, easily influenced, full of potential, his depression, to start with, his stubbornness and cynicism—he’s in good company there), and Fortune (fight the system! take your fate into your own hands!). (See what I’m talking about with the Fortune thing? It’s getting ridiculous.)
He has mixed feelings about his initial Persona, Lü Bu. I had to look him up, of course, but he’s a complicated historical figure. Wocky was excited about the ‘unmatched warrior’ and romance with Diaochan, but got a bit quiet when he heard about all the betrayal. Basically, he brought on his own destruction when he couldn’t trust others or keep his temper in check. It’s almost all physical-based skills, but they’re incredibly strong physical-based skills, so when I need a physical attacker, Wocky’s definitely in. (Also, if we’re not just talking Personas, Wocky has the most weapon knowledge of all of us, but given that his family used to be a gangster family, that just makes sense.)
