BBC Merlin/Chronicles of Amber
I'd had this idea for a bit now, but it's a fairly lengthy project and I'm not confident in my ability to pull it off, so it's up for adoption.

(WAY TOO MANY PEOPLE OUTSIDE WITHOUT MASKS THOUGH.  I HAD ONE, BUT IT'S MAINLY TO PROTECT OTHERS FROM YOUR GERMS.  I just...ugh.)

Merlin actually is the Zelazny Merlin.  At the end of his Cycle he used the ring to escape rather than the tacked on ending.  He ended up in the new Power, Camelot, the Amber to the True Amber of Avalon.  Magic (the Lady in the Lake) slept with him to get Taliesin to rule in case he would not, and made him forget.  He went somewhere he shouldn’t have and ended up remembering again.  Morgana ends up ruling (after Uther’s death, which isn’t for a bit) when he tells Arthur (who accused him of possessing Merlin), who won’t let him go alone.  Merlin was going to stay and help the mess that he made of the prophecy but then realized Dara and Corwin were probably going to start a war if someone didn’t inform them he was actually alive, and Camelot and True Avalon are dead zones for Trumps.  Corwin helped create it with his Pattern and rule in Avalon (ironically though Fiona and Brand learned from Dworkin it was Corwin with the potential).  The inhabitants of Camelot and True Avalon are as Real as Chaosians or Amberites.  Some of the knights might come too.  Gwaine flirts with Corwin, and Merlin realizes that Corwin might not have been opposed and doesn’t want to think about it.  He doesn’t tell Dara everything, definitely not about Taliesin, though explained that the Lady of the Lake, the Lady of Magic, is ticked at her because all she wants is for balance to be restored, to avoid her getting ideas.  (That is what she said—not directly about Dara, but she really doesn’t want the world to end or be rewritten.)  Corwin is very intrigued by Camelot and Avalon because he was happy there, and also still a little homicidally protective.  Arthur does note that Merlin’s still being cagey, and he’s upset but explains it’s habit.  He’s trying more than he did for his last long-term relationship.
