Doctor Who/Persona Crossover
Chapter Summary: Inaba's...a planet? I don't know. I wrote this ages ago and don't remember exactly where I was going with it. Why is it Yukiko, not Teddie or Rise? Don't know. (Suspect they're using equipment, but I really don't know.)

Well, this had gone just about as usual, Rory thought. They'd landed and begun examining the creepy Gothic walls and fog for no less than half a minute before these creepy crawling black things oozed out of the walls and begun attacking (at least, that's what the Doctor had thought, and who was he to argue with the Doctor?) So here they were, running down just another corridor in the universe. Rory thought he'd have a talk with a fair amount of architects and ask whether they couldn't please stop building corridors, because being chased down them was getting old. It didn't help that the fog was fairly thick, thick enough it was difficult and hurt to see.
Then a guy appeared at the end. He had brown hair that flared out, untamed and unruly, brown eyes wide behind orange glasses, and headphones nestled around his neck. Rory couldn't make out the color of those or the clothes. Dirt made them unrecognizable.
He looked shocked for a moment before yelling out, "Hey! Over here! This way!"
They began running after the guy, who looked fairly young, maybe in his early twenties at most. Still, bags lurked under his eyes, and there were lines on his face that spoke of hardship. He drew twin knives, keeping them ready as he ran.
He hit some sort of earpiece. "Yukiko? How do I look?"
"What?" they heard over it. "What are you doing out there again? Oh, that...you've got a bunch of Shadows converging on your location. And...this can't be right. Who else did you take out there with you? You know you can't keep doing this, Yos-"
"Chie," he gritted his teeth, the hint of a smile in his eyes overshadowed by the stress of the situation. "Please get Yukiko on the line, so she can give me a unshadowed path. You or Kanji, grab someone else and hightail it out here, 'cause we've got Newcomers."
Spluttering was quickly cut off by a more cultured voice. "Sorry, Yosuke. I wasn't expecting anyone to be patrolling now."
He looked a bit embarrassed, but saved his breath for running.
"Okay," and then she began rattling off a series of instructions that Rory found bewildering. He hoped their savior was sharper than he looked, because getting lost would be really bad now.
Surprisingly enough, it seemed that the guy had memorized the instructions, because he unerringly ran, turning down branches without hesitation.
"Yosuke, there's three Shadows coming up on your left. You'll probably have to fight."
The man swore under his breath, then turned. "You guys run. I'll hold them."
The Doctor was already shaking his head, but a blue glowing card started floating down from the ceiling. "Let's do this, Jiraiya!" he shouted, jumping and twirling and hitting the card thing, shattering it, with one of his knives. Rory was shocked he didn't miss.
A huge thing with a red scarf, a big gold v on its chest, a white jumpsuit and stars for eyes and on its hands, looking like a bizarre cross between Mickey Mouse and a giant disco frog, appeared.
"Magarudyne!" their savior yelled, and a blast of wind blew down the corridor.
It turns out that the human colony of Inaba, which has changed since it became enshrouded in fog, has become time stranded. Yosuke was voted to the place of Lord (leader) since Souji left, but only he and Teddie still believe that Lord Souji will return. The rest of the team don't say it, but they lost their faith and trust a while ago.
