buffyverse sexuality thoughts

I should've been going to sleep at 2 AM but instead I was having Profound Thoughts
I have changed my thoughts on willow because people learn new things about their identity all the time and it's entirely possible she's just a lesbian that had a loving relationship that she enjoyed with one guy (and was interested in xander, so, two guys, that's still entirely possible and it's also entirely possible to change your mind and go 'well, no actually i find women more appealing/attractive/whatever'). as I said in the post about Sulu in Beyond and Takei's response, one relationship does not a sexuality make
but still
they still should've gone the 'questioning if i'm bi' route instead of magic 'gay now'
just...some acknowledgement that bisexuality exists, that's all i want
i mean, a nuanced discussion of sexuality is not a thing that whedon would write and if you don't get more than one episode to write about it your average one-off writer's not going to get to do much either
but bi-erasure is still a thing that bothers me for obvious reasons
also the whole thing with willow selfcest was a joke but I think it's pretty common headcanon that that's true for all characters in buffyverse (probably even the straight ones)
also curious if it counts as pansexual possibly with extra labels or if there's a different word for it being attracted to demons (xander, buffy)
that is all
