Okay.  So what’s the angle going to be when you get to the top?  {roommate} Um.  As far as I can tell it was nearly dead on, just not quite.  No, I mean when you’re going up there.  {roommate} Oh.  That I don’t know.  Okay.  Let’s try to figure it out the next time we’re making the run.  {roommate}

Prince, no. 

Trust the wallrun.  The wallrun is your friend.  {roommate} The wallrun has never lied to you.  Trust the wallrun.  {roommate}  Unlike the walljump. The walljump is your enemy. 

*snicker*  The PsiCorps is your friend.  {roommate} The walljump is father.  The walljump is father. 

All right.  {roommate} I think they had it this-ish, pretty much.  Yeah, pretty much dead on, there.  {roommate} And it says to zoom in, but I’m pretty sure there’s not actually a way to do that.  Just that, which.  {roommate}  Great, thanks. 

All right.  {roommate}  *screams*  He did the wall-slap thing again.  No no no. [Prince]

If it keeps getting bugs we could probably restart it.  {roommate} Yeah.  I really do like this game but it is buggy on PC.  It seems that, well.  Some of the bugs I think in the earlier parts I think might have been worse, but we were able to get past them using the Sands.  {roommate} Yeah.  The thing is, some of the bugs you can use the Sands to mess with it and fix it.  (If you rewind to the middle of a jump in the baths, for some reason, it somehow “resets” it and prevents the wallslap.  Can’t do that without the Sands.) 

No.  All right.  {roommate} Please go all the way up.  *screams*  See, the instant it switched camera…  That didn’t happen. [Prince] So, you weren’t pushing the direction  {roommate} No.

Do you really wish to leave before finishing my story? [Prince]

This one might be easier with keyboard, actually.  {roommate} Maybe?  I don’t know any of the keyboard controls.  Well, I’m like…if you just have to press space repeatedly…   {roommate} Mmh. 

It is almost 9:40. 

I know I said trust the wallrun, but you can’t just wallrun everywhere.  Unfortunately.  Yeah.  {roommate} When do you want to go to bed?  Eh.  I was kind of hoping, you know, next time we get to a save point here.  {roommate} Yeah.  I just ask because it might be a bit.  Yeah.  {roommate}

Well, the difficult part for this section I think is definitely the tower.  {roommate} Yeah.

…why did I do that?  This is much faster. 

Prince.  Prince, just keep going.  It’s going to be fine.  (Color Out of Space flashbacks, what.)  It’s not going to eat your face.  (That’s what the guy in the movie/short story thought.) 

I mean, what are the odds of a wall collapsing as you’re running on it, right?  {roommate} …I think that does happen in other games but not this one.  Very very unlikely.  {roommate} Except for the one that’s scripted to happen, so.  All right.  {roommate}

*scream*  Okay.  So you got one step further.  {roommate} Yep.  No no no, that didn’t hap— [Prince] Yeah, yeah, we know.

And feel free to turn off that computer if you’re not using it.  Yeah.  I might as well.  {roommate} ‘Kay. 

I love the wallrun so much.  It’s at 95%. {roommate} Yep.  

I made it!  Oh, nice.  I just had to not be watching, see?  {roommate} *laughs*  A watched pot does not boil.  Or something.

Okay, so we get out here.  I’m pretty sure the next thing is a wallrun.  Yep.  {roommate} Trust the wallrun.  The wallrun is your friend! 

All right.  {roommate} And it said that there were bats.  Right to find a fountain.  Left…   {roommate} I think the save probably—actually, how much health do we have?  Hurt—yeah.  {roommate} We might actually have more health than I had, tbh.  (Actually, we definitely did—I missed some of those probably behind breakwalls or something.) 

What’s over here?  A fountain, I think.  {roommate} (I swear I’m sometimes listening to you, Jeeves!!  Not that you’re my butler in any way, but still.)  Ah.  So you can come back here and recover stuff if you get attacked by the bats.  {roommate} I mean, I’m gonna get attacked by the bats, but.  If you survive.  The deadly bats.  {roommate}

Get away from here.  I will murder your face.  I’m not used to actual combat with bats. 

(sword hits rock, makes metallic sound.)  Clang.  {roommate} Clang clang. 

All right, one more.  Come on!  There you go.  Hmm.  “Can’t run on this one because it’s so damaged.”  You got it.  Yeah, I figure I might as well stick around and see this one out, right?  {roommate} Right.  (I’m glad to have you as someone I can socialize with especially now.) 

You have spent a lot of time on the Prince.  I’ve been helping you.  And mostly seen him being a jerk.  But I’m sure he has a better side.  {roommate} He has a dark side that shows up in a different part—okay, what do I do here?  Am I supposed to jut climb up on this?  Yep.  Careful, careful.  {roommate}

I mean, this probably the period in which the bats were supposed to—uh, hi.  I have, what d’ya call it.  Genre savviness. 

It’s hard if I fight here, you know.  Let’s take this outside, you stupid bats.  {roommate} Come here, rodent! 

Got ‘em.  {roommate}  I’m thinking I might want to go back and heal again.  Yeah.  It might be wise.  Just…be careful.  {roommate} Yeah.  Don’t wanna do that again.  Nope. {roommate}

I do think it was the camera.  The timing changed just slightly with the camera change.  Which shouldn’t be a thing.  No, it shouldn’t.  But, you know.  You’re dealing with Prince of Persia.  What do you think you’re dealing with?  {roommate} A really neat idea for a game and I really like the story and stuff but boy were there some issues. 

The thing—I think they said this was PS2 era?  And PS2 era is notorious.  No, it is.  I’ve heard stories.  {roommate} (Funny thing: recently I have discovered that City of Heroes with the graphics all the way down looks PS2 era.  So yes.  That’s…weird.)
