Prince of Persia: Sands of Time Game Review/Commentary 66

Yep, playing correctly.  Yeah, looks like…liquid gold.  That’s weird. 

Come on. [Farah]  I mean, I’m not wearing a shirt, so.  Apparently you’re not wearing anything, but.  Was it real, that magical cavern?  If it was a dream, it was a dream we both shared.  I know it was. [Prince]  I was going to ask ‘how do you know?’, but. 

I love his angry face.  Oh no! [Prince]  He’s jutting out his jaw. 

Where is the next save point?  That is my question. 

Wait, what—dear…oh.  Wait.  Don’t I have any weapons whatsoever?  Oh dear.  I’m running.  I enjoyed the combat, but now I don’t have anything to fight with.  

Ow.  Okay, that murdered me.  That didn’t happen. [Prince]  Well, you didn’t even have the Sands of Time to undo that. 

Was it real, that magical cavern?  [Prince]  I can’t even—I can’t…I can’t skip this cutscene. 

Prince.  Prince?  ‘kay. 

Hi.  Do I have to get you to swing at this, maybe?  Break it!  Break it, you know you wanna.  Not me.  The shield.  Break the mirror thing. 

Oh no! [Prince]  ‘kay.  Okay.  Move that. 

Why can I move…okay?  (suspicious)  Oh.  Hey.  Okay, so I have to move that this way. 

Okay.  Shoot, I missed it.  Okay, that’s facing the wrong direction. 

What is that…?   Hmm.  Okay? 

I love my boots. 

Is it night again? 

Oh.  I bet--  See, what about this?  Could you—could you actually face that?

Hey, there’s a spot Farah could come in if she was doing that and not off somewhere. 

Ahh, don’t do that Prince.  I know this puzzle is hard but that doesn’t mean you have to jump off. 

Hrrrrm, puzzles.  Yep, still too big to fit through this. 

Hi, Guards.  Can you kill me?  Please.  You people are dumb.  Okay.  (…You just told the Prince not to jump off.)  I think I have to reset because I lost track of where things were. 

It is taking you forever to kill me.  Thank you. 

No, no, no. [Prince]  Something just occurred to me. Was it real, that magical cavern?  [Prince]  I can’t turn back time.  My usual tactics will do nothing. 

Oh.  Apparently I can hit the cutscene with X, but not with escape like everything else. 

Ow.  Ow ow.  I didn’t mean for you to kill me here. 

Can you not follow me out here because you’re like “it’s too dangerous with that instakill thing”? 

For example, I think I moved this to the other side of the room, so. 

There we go.  And then…  (Scintillating commentary.)  I tried switching these two.

(New shiny sword)  I don’t like the end of that, but the rest of it looks pretty cool.  To be honest, if I got new swords, that’s what I’d do.  I’d just play with them forever.  That’s why I had problems in fencing. 

Hi.  Ow.  Where is my water?  Is there water anywhere?  No.  Apparently there’s no water.  Man.  I need water. 

I just…I fell and then I was directed to the—do I get telekinesis?  Is that what this is? 

Done.  I’ll start the story from here next time. [Prince]  I am entirely unsurprised that was seven percent of the story given how much cutscene there was. 

Yeah.  I’ll see you next time, Prince.  I am sorry about all the times you will die due to the fact that I can’t rewind time when we parkour anymore. 

But.  I think it is time.  You wish me to leave before finishing my story? [Prince]  Yeah.  It’s time.  As you wish. [Prince]  There we go. 

Well, I’m definitely getting closer.  Three percent is good.  (Yeah, I said different numbers.  I could maybe check via watching a playthrough, but nah.)  I can start on the next one.  At some point.  Anyway, see y’all next time.

(THE DROP IN ENERGY IS REAL HELLO) Hello, Old Friend, it has been a while.  I feel like trash today, but we’re all garbage down here.  Or something.  Yeah, today has not been good, but at least it is a Jojo’s Friday, so there is that.  And I am going to play some more Prince of Persia, and I am a decent portion through the game, so with any luck I can at least get this done before I’ve got an internship. 

But.  I am not looking forward to it, but once it’s done it’ll be something.  Just have to make it through. 

And this time I actually have DMC4 now, which is cool.  I probably won’t get to play it tonight, but I own it. 

I don’t get to play anything.  It’s so sad.  I wouldn’t be particularly good at it, even if I did, but. 

Yep, I have a controller.  I also have a root beer.  Because root beer is good. 

Ehh.  Yeah.  (clicking through sales I’m guessing)  Dark Souls 3?  If I hate my sanity.  I’m sure it’s a great game, but I would hate my sanity. 

Steam?  Watcha doin? 

I also might play Deadly Premonition again at some point, because it’s fun. 

Also I got the second game (of Prince of Persia), but I couldn’t get the third because I’m a few dollars off because of taxes I forgot to take into account.  These things happen. 

I don’t know what it’s doing.  Computer, what are you doing? 

I could also play some VtM at some point.  Be kind of fun.  (Bloodlines 2 is supposedly coming out…I dunno, this year??  Yeah, supposedly this year.  The hype is real.) 

Okay, that.  Okay.  It zoomed in on the picture of Farah, and I was like “is she clothed?  She’s clothed.  Good.”  Most people look better with their clothes on.  Especially if they’re really cool clothes.  (Not that I’m ace, not that there’s anything wrong with that.  I guess it’s partly because I’m demisexual so I find personality more attractive than appearance and clothes are more of an extension of personality than just ‘my genetics dictate I look like this, give or take’.)  Like, honestly, consider: trenchcoats.  And hats.  And…a lot of the City of Heroes outfits.  And Jojo’s outfits. 

Don’t even ask me what I’m talking about.  I don’t know at this point.  I might be a little sleep deprived.  Like, not a ton.  I got sleep last night.  Still.  More than.  Little more than usual.
