I’m amused by the fact that this isn’t the first Xander who’s thought this.  The others use guns or arrows, though, and just wanted to go for breaking the spine.  This Xan-chan is…a little hands-on.
also is this the first time xander willow and buffy have appeared in one of my writings together?  because that's....kind of anticlimactic...

         “D’ya need ta separate the head from the shoulders, or does just breakin’ the spine work?” Xander interrupts the conversation abruptly, still playing idly with a knife.
         “Xander, I think I speak for us all when I say you’re scary sometimes,” Willow informs him.
         “Please don’t get killed trying to find out.  I’ve got a sword if necessary and beheading definitely works,” Buffy tells him, and he pouts.
         “Spoilsport,” he says, but settles down, going back to carefully testing the edge of his knife again.
