Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Universe Optional
Summary: would you look at that more pointless sdc fluff
Word Count: 333
Rating: Gen; jotaro swears as usual
“Jotaro.” Kakyoin’s aware that the other student is still awake, despite the fact that he’s pulled the hat practically completely over his eyes. He just gets a grunt in return. Jotaro seems a little grumpy, but then, as fun as traveling with a friend his own age is, it’s hard to forget that there are Stand Users who want to kill them following them around. “Your grandfather is foreign.”
“I hadn’t noticed.” He could have expected the snark in return, given Jotaro’s mood, but he’s genuinely curious and not afraid of a little danger.
“So is your mother,” he continues.
That actually gets Jotaro to shift the hat from his eyes and glare in Kakyoin’s direction. “Are you trying to get me to punch you?” He actually sounds vaguely incredulous, a rare show of emotion in his voice that probably indicates exactly how tired he is.
Kakyoin chuckles. He doesn’t really have an interest in Holly directly, but she is most certainly his “type”. If Jotaro had a younger sister of similar temperament, for example… “You’re not fully Japanese yourself, are you?”
Jotaro grunts again, unhappily, and rubs a knuckle at his eyes. “Look, either get to the point or shut up. It’s too late for this shit.”
“Oh, my apologies, Jojo. I’m not accustomed to sleeping elsewhere than my own bed.” The glare softens slightly, even as Jotaro utters his signature ‘yare yare daze’. “I think it’s cool. You’re taller than I am, and I’m certainly envious of all that muscle.”
Jotaro is suspiciously quiet, and it takes a glance over to find that, like a turtle drawing back into his shell, Jotaro has fully hidden his face below his hat. “Go the hell to sleep,” he counters after about a minute, still sounding a little flustered. He’d probably waited to try to steady his voice, but it seems he’s not as successful as he’d like.
Jotaro might try to be cool and uncaring, but he inherited Holly’s heart. “Good night, Jotaro.”
