Death/hurt count: Tellarite dead. Spock slapped. Sarek nearly dead.  An entire Orion ship.  Orion spy.  Kirk dying of a mortal poison that doesn’t come up again?

Sarek?  Exciting.

Showing a guy putting on makeup?  Impossibru.

Official uniforms are all silk, great.  (also, I’m pretty sure the same silk as Bones’ accidental ‘normal’ uniform that one or…you know, actually, however many times first season).

That’s an interesting stance with your arms crossed and your phasers.

It’s interesting to watch parents who actually love each other in TV.  That doesn’t happen often.

How important are the Vulcans in the Federation?  If as important as I think they are then surely their codes would be recognizable as something.

I like how the Andorian’s face looks different when he tries to talk—probably part of how he has to speak with the makeup & whatnot, but it does look more alien.

It’s true that most of the time with murder at least in humans it’s a crime of passion.  Very few are cold-blooded, even when it’s over money.  Of course, that’d be harder for a Vulcan to ‘get’.

I love how Spock is passionately and emotions-bleeding-through-voice arguing for logic.

I don’t know that I particularly like Amanda as shown here—she’s complaining about things she would’ve known for a long time (logic logic logic) but then she’s under stress and that might’ve been building up for a while?
