Also why are we taking joss’s word on anything? he is obviously a lying liar who lies. Personally I feel like, and I might’ve said this before, the oily drama-filled center of all the characters (not just xander) is, I’m pretty sure, mostly whedon, with some other writer’s traumas thrown in.    there’s more to all of the characters than that.
