Cold Shower

I hadn't expected this ship in Stardust Legacy, but after To Spite Authority (and honestly Buffy being Jolyne) it just seemed kind of natural.

         Jotaro-san stands frozen in the doorway, eyes wider than Buffy’s ever seen them. It looks like he’s entirely forgotten what he’d come to ask her, which is fair, and she’s pretty sure she’s never actually seen him as scared as he is right now, probably because he has absolutely no idea what he’s supposed to do in this situation. Buffy sympathizes. She wants the ground to swallow her up, right now. She doesn’t even care that she’d have to claw her way out like in her nightmares. Right now she doesn’t want to be visible at all.
         Finally, like time has started again, he speaks. “You are both getting a health exam. You are going to be careful if you’re not already.” And then the door slams, probably harder than he intended.
         “That went well,” Faith remarks, smug.
         Buffy shoves her off and promptly attempts to smother herself in the blankets, which is the closest she can get to disappearing into the ground. “Don’t talk to me.”
         “Can’t hear you, babe.” Her girlfriend is still far too happy given the absolute embarrassment of the moment.
