...actually, thinking about it, we look at, say, Johnny as an outlier, but a lot of the Jojos don't go by Jojo.  We start with Jotaro, and Josuke goes by it about half the time, and Giorno spends his entire part as Giorno, and Jolyne is Jolyne a lot, and then we've got Johnny where the nickname is mentioned early on (or "Joekid") and then is barely used, and then there's Gappy, which.  Still.  Who knows.
