Ichiban Association
Oct. 11th, 2022 12:00 pmi'm stuck in html mode and weirded out
Horikita Norika, Matriarch of the Ichiban Association, a Direct Family of the Osato-kai
Like Takamiya, the Ichiban Association has a legitimate front—in their case, a fashion empire. Unlike the Gekkoutou Consortium, though, Ichiban launders their own money in-house. Only the upper management are part of the Association.
In general, this is the largest faction in the Osato-kai. Their troops demanding protection money and fleecing businesses are numerous and bring in a decent amount of cash inflow; they’re also usually the first on the ground when it comes to infighting with the Amaya-kai or, less commonly, other more regional Yakuza clans.
When it comes to convincing fakes of particular expensive designs or fabrics, the Ichiban are number one, and can easily distribute them through their own network with no one the wiser, separating it out so if the deception was ever discovered it would be harder to trace back to the source.
The Ichiban used to be a third-tier Family, but Horikita’s ambition soon saw them moving up the ranks to become a Direct Family. Rumors are strong that Horikita’s ambitions do not stop there, though.
The entire form of the Family is decided by Horikita’s interests—she likes fashion and fighting, and while her family is just as ambitious, just as bloodthirsty, most see her vision and ability and prefer to steer into the future with Horikita at the helm.
