Short BtVS Dream
Sep. 5th, 2022 09:29 pmDream: Giles didn’t rebel directly against the Council, but he did set up something to look after the family members of dead Slayers. Spike was actually one of those, a nephew. He and Robin got in touch through the group and bonded. (I think the main thing my brain keeps going back to is: a) if they’d both lost people to vampires and b) if Spike weren’t a vampire, they’d get along like a house on fire, i.e. they’d want to burn everything down.) He still kept in touch with the surviving members of his group, and they formed a sort of ‘grey hat’ last resort option to protect the people. There’s kind of a misconception that arises that Council-affiliated types are basically all early Wesley. The Grey Hats were a little shocked that Spike (William, but he dresses punk and prefers the name Spike) and Robin weren’t goody-two shoes and could keep up with their drinking. Then Buffy and Giles got turned and Robin and Spike had to deal with them.
