The Use of Pride
Feb. 18th, 2021 07:04 pmWriting Ukitake again, and coughing again. There might be a correlation (though I didn't write this today, more last week). The good news is, the tests came back, and it's not Covid. It doesn't make me feel any less sick, but it's still a nice thing to hear.
I've been thinking about Ukitake's speech on pride since I saw that episode, and this is the explanation I came up with.

Summary: Faster to read. Basically, the spoiler is, if you know who Kaien is/have seen Bleach Episode 49, you're fine/caught up. (You might be fine if you're interested in reading about Ukitake in the first place; I don't remember what was the first episode he showed up in. But I'm erring on the safe side.)
