more jojolion rants, because I keep seeing praise from people on the mystery segments which I think are some of the weakest parts of the part and why it drives me up the wall: as a long-time mystery viewer (seriously I think I was watching Perry Mason, Columbo, Campion, Poirot when I was five): you need to have the whole plot or at least most of it in mind before you even start writing.  or keep extensive notes.  that's the only way you're gonna wrap everything up in the end.
