Star Trek Continues: Pilgrim of Eternity (S1E1)

He’s Dead, Jim (Death/injury count): 2 aliens?, simone (engineering?), sulu coughing. Kirk getting smacked around. Apollo phasered. Uhura got zapped.  Uhm.  More than zapped?? Apollo briefly used energy.

Guessing that’s Scotty.

Kirk is geeking out.  Doesn’t have the same charisma, though.  (but then, it’s only the first minute, so.)

“Playtime’s over.  Let’s get back to work.”  That, on the other hand…is totally something he’d say.

The special effects are great.

I like their sulu.

*drapes self over chair.*

Well, that’s one thing to do stuff.

That’s a judging look.

I like that they’ve got actual old actors.

WWAIIT.  Wait.  FULL STOP MR. SULU, THAT’S JUNPEI AS CAPTAIN?   …huhhh. I thought I recognized the name.

Oh, hey, that’s actually Old Scotty’s son playing Scotty.  Nice.

(I don’t especially like their Bones but he might grow on me.)

That’s so weird, seeing Junpei actually alive.  ...you know what I mean.

Oh, that’s supposed to be Apollo.

Oh, you forbid it.  oh, okay.  I’ll cancel that choice then.

Apollo and Athena?  I don’t…

Among other things I don’t think he’s attempting the accent.  We’ll see.

At least Vic has the mannerisms down.

….I will just point out.  As a woman, catching the attentions of a Greek God…that’d be the point where you’d run for cover.

If you’re on this ship long enough, just get used to me shirtless/with ripped shirt.  It’s just a thing that happens.

Oh no.  redheaded doc is of the same type as Gwen Cooper.  I hate that type of character, where they’re supposed to be the only ‘compassionate’ one as one of the only females in the group, and yet the only ones they show sympathy toward (and berate their colleagues for not) are actually all the murderers, etc.

Everybody turning to look at once is really kinda creepy.

Well, at least she phasered the guy.

Show’s over.

“Apollo’s therapy will not be at the expense of those on the Enterprise, I can promise you that.”  yep.

Apollo has faith in mccoy.  Yes, good.  Well, this is the guy who can cure a rainy day.

Buuuut not death apparently.

Well, they did kind of just sit there while she died.

Jim’s super upset. Accurate.

Apollo healed her at great cost to himself.

Kirk gets super excited about sacrifice.

That’s a cool cape.

Where on earth (or outside of it) did they get the really, really accurate set though?

Self sacrifice is the best way to live, yes, if you’re so many characters.  (they don’t have ‘one year later’ very often.  Or, y’know, ever.)
