Couldn’t the Enterprise give them some sort of trade in exchange? Since mercantilism is all they know.

Who were the other two that died? Nobody’s talked about them.

Have you been keeping them drugged up for decades? That looked like withdrawal symptoms.

So? Don’t impose. Explain to them, in non-holier-than-thou terms, exactly what is going on, and let them choose.

I like that they’re showing her as a drug addict, but in a sympathetic way, like “yeah, this just happens”. Plus it gives more to her character.

Is overdose not a thing? I assume drug tolerance is a thing, benefitting Planet of Drug Dealers.

Is he becoming suicidal?

Threatening someone for the drug is, unfortunately, common.

Nope, anyone can be a killer, especially when under the influence of a drug.

“We don’t want to be the ones responsible for their suffering” say the drug dealers.

Drug dealers are actually fairly likely (from what I’ve read) to give freebies. More chance to get/keep addicted customers.

That’s…odd. Creative, but odd.

Withdrawal can kill.
